“Great lunch on the way to the Volland Store. The kids enjoyed tamales, but be careful if they ask for rice/beans because its a lot of really good food. Marco is a great waiter with a good sense of humor and he took good care of us. Try the 3 tacos with cilantro and onions -> get corn tortillas. The carnitas was the best I’ve had. There’s a nice playground in town for the kiddos just east of the restaurant and you can walk off your meal in the antique shop across the street or the museum just down the block.“
“Taco Lucha is our go to favorite when in Manhattan, KS! In addition to yummy tacos, we ALWAYS get the Chipotle Raspberry & Black Bean Dip! When we're in town on Tuesdays we get the special Peanut Butter Tacos (grilled steak on a flour tortilla w/peanut butter, pickle, pepper jack cheese, sriracha, and bacon)! It sounds crazy, but it's the most amazing explosion of flavor ever! My husband enjoys the Nancy (Busch Light & pineapple juice) and I love their house margarita!Parking: Street parking is quickest, but you'll need to be patient on game days or big K-State event days. There's also a parking at the "Aggieville Garage" at 1318 Laramie St. a block to the west (use the @ParkMobile app to pay) that's super convenient! The first 2 hours are free and then it's $2/hour after that.“
“We've been to Frida's twice and between all of our family members we've tried at least 10 different things. Everything is amazing. Some unique items on the menu, loads of meat options and options to customize your meal. And on top of good food the service has been amazing both times! It's my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town!!!“
“Absolutely amazing food and phenomenal customer service! My friend recommended the spot and I was not disappointed. Ordered the carne asada tacos and a quesabirria; both tasted delicious. Only less positive thing, that was probably due to the tacos soaking up the quesabirria's juice, was the tortilla's structure; they started to fall apart so it was difficult to eat all of its deliciousness in one bite. I can't wait for my next visit, hopefully with my brother to try it with me.“
“Absolutely love this place! When my husband asks what I want for dinner… it’s El Patrón. Queso, Taco locos & a margarita is my go to order and it’s delicious every time! Also their patio during the summer.. chef’s kissDietary restrictions: My friend can’t eat gluten, dairy, or pork & they have plenty of options for her :)“
“Really good street tacos! So far the best in Manhattan, but do have another place to try out. I base my opinion on the places I've tried in border towns in Mexico.Wheelchair accessibility: You can wheel in the back door right up to a table.“
“I'd read all the great reviews, and they don't do it justice. Absolutely the best Mexican food I've had since I left Texas. Their margaritas were perfection. Not too weak or too strong, honestly they were perfect margaritas. The customer service was warm, friendly and very thoughtful of their diners. Though it's not much to look at from the street, it's so much larger than I expected, and spotless inside. Great atmosphere! My new go to for Mexican food, PERIOD.Vegetarian options: I had the #1 from the vegetarian section, mushroom enchilada, and chile relleno, but you could choose from several items for the #1.“
“This place is wonderful. The head lady is incredible and loves to make her customers happy. Always on point in making sure you have everything you need and makes incredible food. I go here at least once every other week and I have never been disappointed.“
“La mejor comida auténtica mexicana de toda la ciudad. Las bebidas son buenísimas y frescas. Lo que ellos venden no se encuentra en ningún otro restaurante Mexicano en Manhattan. Lo recomiendo mill veces. The best authentic Mexican food in the entire city. The drinks are great and fresh. What they sell is not found in any other Mexican restaurant in Manhattan. I recommend it a thousand times.“
“It’s the small things that make even these darkest times bright and for me that is having my dose of Hillside. Everything was amazing! EVERYTHING.....The extra caution making sure everything was handled properly, the food was hot and wrapped well and best of all a big smile greeted me when I walked into pick up my order. Please support your small local businesses. They need you more than ever right now!“
“We have gone here for breakfast and dinner, and I can’t decide which meal I enjoyed more!! It was quite perfect for small intimate moments. I think it took us all of 45 minutes to conclude our meal. 2 people for less than $40 is currently unheard of, yet somehow they did it! AND IT TASTES AMAZING!! We’ll be coming back!“
“My partner and I stopped into Taqueria El Aguila for the first time tonight. We ordered food to go and sat to watch Friday night bingo during the very short wait! Very welcoming atmosphere and people. The food was delicious and everything on the menu sounds amazing. We will be back to explore more of the menu and we might just have to get in on a game of some bingo!!!“
