We became regulars here about six years ago. Overall, this is the best place for breakfast in the Kansas City metro, and if you arrive on a Sunday, you will see that a lot of people agree--because the place is packed. The food is always good to great (not the best biscuits & gravy, but they're decent), and even when this place is busy, you don't have to wait long for service and your food. I am flabbergasted that there aren't more Village Inn restaurants in the metro.
Great spot to come for a reasonably priced all-day breakfast or a tasty lunch or dinner. Food always tastes good and their pies are awesome!Update: Just enjoyed a delicious lunch with a friend. I'm happy to say Village Inn still has the same great service with reasonable prices for delicious food. I ordered the pick three…a half Reuben and tomato soup. The soup was great and the Reuben was good. The strawberry rhubarb pie was very disappointing. It seemed like strawberry jam and stewed rhubarb mixed together. Very gooey with little substance. The crust was good. Service excellent.
