“I picked up the Easter meal and I was prepared for a wait. I was pleasantly surprised when someone came to my vehicle shortly after arriving in a curbside spot. Both of the people that waited on me were very friendly and I barely had to wait for my food and I know they were busy since it was Easter. The food was delicious and hot too. Great job!“

“Our visit here was absolutely wonderful. The food took a little while to come out, but it was absolutely amazing. They were also understaffed, but our server Pati was very nice and worked very hard to accommodate for the many people in the restaurant. “I want to share my family's experience at Big Biscuit Olathe on Tuesday, 3/19/24.My dad has Alzheimer's, and we recently moved him into full time care in Olathe. It's been an adjustment.My sister was in town from Colorado, and we decided to check Dad out for a few hours for brunch. We never know how public experiences will go. Sometimes Dad responds well. Others he gets agitated or overwhelmed. Sometimes servers and other patrons don't know quite how to respond to him. We all just kind of wanted, for an hour or so, to pretend that everything was normal, that we were just another family going out for a meal.This is where Matt comes in. Matt was our server, and he literally made our entire day. I may just be getting old, but Matt looked about 17. He was thin as a rail. He had glasses and a mullet. I won't lie, when he first walked up, I kinda steeled myself. Sometimes younger folk don't have the life experience to deal with older folk. Particularly when the older folk tell you the same joke over and over again or get confused by your questions. But I needn't have worried.Matt started out by introducing himself and making friendly banter. He quickly picked up on the fact that we aren't the type of family to stand too firmly on strict propriety, and seemed to let his hair down a little bit more.Now, my mom typically orders for my dad, as he can get overwhelmed by the options. So, most servers just sort of ignore Dad and talk directly to Mom. Not Matt. He started jokingly asking my dad directly what he wanted, if he was okay, and to "blink twice" if he needed to be rescued. Dad's sense of humor is very intact and laughter has always been a coping mechanism for us. It worked beautifully.Throughout the meal, Matt was delightfully and teasingly irreverent, but never inappropriately so. It's three days later, and I'm still grinning at the memory.Thank you so much, Matt! You made that outing something we'll talk about for a long time. We needed that badly.“
“You get what you pay for. It's pricey for my frugal budget, but the quality and service were worth it. My friend was running late, and I needed to get going. So, I went ahead and ordered before he arrived. The waitress turned up the heat on the cooks, and they got both of our orders out at the same time so we could still eat together. Nice move!“

“Food and service are consistently great. They have quite a few sandwiches, burgers, salads, and side options. I usually stop for lunch, usually on a Friday. It's bustling but under control. On my March '24 visit I was marveling at the communication and coordination between host, wait staff, and... Maybe kitchen expo? I don't know, but the food was getting where it needed to in a hurry and it was like watching a dance.“
“Forgot to take pictures but I had the chicken critters with fries and mashed potatoes. The chicken that was served almost felt like the bottom of the pan chicken pieces as they were very small. The fries were cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. My mashed potatoes were great as well. Have to get their bread which did not disappoint at all. Service was good and the atmosphere is like any other Texas Roadhouse!“

“I stopped in for a quick bit to eat and it was my lucky day. They had a special Fat Tuesday menu which included gumbo that was absolutely delicious as was the cornbread that came with it. Not sure how long this menu will be available but I highly recommend stopping by for a bowl. I should add that I've eaten there many times and the food and service is always top quality.Parking: Parking has never been a problem.“
“Fantastic little place. Had the chicken fried chicken and got an extra egg and coffee. Coffee was the best I've ever had, my 3 eggs looked more like 4 or 5, and everything was delicious. I was waiting on an oil change, so I stayed for about 2 hours, but they were super courteous and made sure my coffee stayed full. I made sure to take care of my waitress too.“
“Awesome place for a group setting or just a date night.Food- my order was the tri-tip, chicken strip, French fries and slaw.The steak was awesome but the chicken strip was over fried. My wife had the fried shrimp and steak, she had the same issue with the shrimp being over fried.Their seasonal drinks are pretty good! Try them all, I did and can’t pick a favorite.“

“We rented out the private room for my son’s 5th birthday party last Saturday!! At first our pre-order for pizza was not communicated to the day-of staff, but the manager on was so incredibly kind to get it all handled and rang in and out at the perfect time for the party. “Waffle House makes a great, basic breakfast. They are always efficient and friendly. Sometimes they could be a little cleaner, but it’s one of my favorite places for a decent, inexpensive breakfast in an atmosphere that is reminiscent of an earlier, simpler time.“

“My daughter and I meet at The Bar Olathe every Wednesday night for dinner while my youngest is at her youth group at church. Tonight, we did something different. My daughter picked up her sister and brought her back to The Bar so we could listen to the karaoke singers. They also play "up and coming" music that my daughters know and will occasionally dance to. “Took the wife and kids for lunch on Sunday morning, 10/1/22. They served my youngest child chicken tenders that had been sitting under a heat lamp for an undetermined amount of time and made the buffalo chicken for my salad from the same chicken. I asked them to please remake the chicken. It wasn’t that big of a deal until the kitchen manager got involved, I had inconvenienced him. He huffed and puffed and took his sweet time. The same thing happened with my wife’s veggie burger, but she was too polite to say anything. The same thing happened to my sons kids turkey wrap, but he was so hungry he ate it anyway. Also, who serves roasted sliced giant chunks of turkey in a kids wrap. This place was filthy as well. For a place that had plenty of staff, just ridiculous.“

Pan pizza Chicago 7 was really good, date had the chicken tender sandwich, she said it was good with the Garlic aoli.... she really enjoyed the pickles on the sandwich as well. “For its target audience, it's not bad at all. If you just want some decent unpretentious food to feed yourself and family, this is more than OK. I had a 25 dollar gift card that's a year old so i figured i better use it before inflation eats away all its value. We ordered Salmon bowl and the endless shrimp. The Salmon bowl is excellent, salmon cooked perfectly.... and most outstanding is the grilled Brussel sprouts, it's well seasoned and cooked to perfection, even my son who does not like vegetables loved them. The endless shrimp has 6 choice, Out of the 6, i think the garlic shrimp came out best, my son enjoyed the pasta shrimp and Walt's favorite. It sure is a ton of shrimp for 25 dollars. But watch out for the calories, it's 2000 calories if you ate all 6 choices. anyway, bottom line, it's not a place you can expect Michelin star level food... but it's solid ingredients, and they do feed you well for the price. I will come back again if someone gives me another 25 dollar gift card!“
