Muy mala comida

SO good! I had the sampler platter, but the pupusa and tamal were my favorites! Do yourself a favor and order an appetizer of the fried plantains. Yum! Our waiter was helpful as well.

Fantastic place for low-key dining on high quality authentic Central American food.

I love this place! The fried fish is my favorite thing to order from there and the pupusas are amazing!Ingot delivery and the food was still hot and crispy.I would highly recommend!

Good food. Reasonable prices. We sat outdoors.

I will rate this restaurant a 2 out of 10 . The attention was poor. It seems like their were only 3 employees working which made the wait longer. My food was cold when they brought it out( at this time we were the second customer in the place before everyone else was arriving for dinner time) the waiter only came once to ask if i need anything else & that was because i was ready to pay. High price for not tasting like authentic salvadoreño food! I would recommend “El pulgacito” - 4200 E Truman Rd Kansas City, MO 6412

I was turned away at the door and told to come back in one hour because they were busy. However, the restaurant had alot of empty tables and all of their patrons sitting at their tables were eating.

I first visited El Salvadoreno when they were located in Downtown OP and have returned a number of times since then for both dine-in and carry-out. The pupusas are my favorite thing on the menu- I love the cheese, bean and cheese, and chicken and cheese pupusas. I would recommend the sampler on your first visit so you can try a few different things. They have recently added street tacos and quesadillas, which aren't necessarily "traditional", but are tasty. Prices are reasonable too!

The pupusas are better than the one's I've had in Indianapolis.

The most authentic flavor from El Salvador in the KC area. I was quite happy with every single dish we had while we were there. The plates were so big and filling. The restaurant it self had really awesome murals to look at while waiting on the food. I will definitely be returning to try other dishes!!!Super delicioso y auténtico !!!

Been There

Perhaps, I was not given the best choice of the menu, but "Enchiladas" were strange, bland and not tasty. I had the feeling that those corn tortillas were topped with everything that was found unused around the kitchen counter and sink - "beefee" grounds of some substance, few pieces of cooked potato from some stew, piece of ugly lettuce, slice of tomato with parm cheese from Kraft plastic container, piece of egg, tiny pieces of cucumber, radish, and cooked beet. Those flavors do not go together at all, do not compliment. Just bland. Awful. Had the feeling that they sold me leftover scraps instead of real crafted food.

I love the staff here. Super friendly and eager to explain the different menu options. I've NEVER had anything here I didn't love! Highly recommended
