On a whim, we went here for Thai. The atmosphere was great! Our waitress was super friendly. We had pork dumplings, curry puffs, crispy egg rolls, sweet & sour pork, chicken pad Thai, and chicken Kar Pau - all with medium heat. All was superb.

Quaint, cozy spot. Mini-Fireplaces.Drunken noodles had a good portion of veggies and shrimp. Unfortunately it was loaded with eggs (yuck) and void of flavor.Thai food is one of my favorite foods. 1st time I've ever had drunken noodles with eggs. A no for me....The egg rolls were good.

5 star service. Waiters are always checking up on you and your needs. 5 star food. Delicious and not overly pricey. 5 star atmosphere. Great decorations and fireplace that makes the establishment more cozy. I loved I could get a 5 star experience on a medium sized budget.Side note: get the Sticky Mango when in season. No lunch menu options - reward system where if you spend over $100 you get $5 credit back.
Extremely well made Thai food. Nice dish selection. Friendly, attentative, efficient staff. Truly a cut above typical Thai fare. Bamboo Penny experience without the effort of dining in Leawood.

We tried KC Thai for the first time on 11/11 and we ordered again on 11/15 if that tells you how good our first experience was! The restaurant is beautiful and I can't wait to dine in sometime, plus try an imported beer . The decor is updated and I love that the owner, Penny, does all of the flower arrangements/landscaping herself. By far my favorite thing is the Tom Kha Soup which was just introduced to me by an acquaintance. How did I not know this soup existed? It's so different. The coconut milk, lime, lemongrass and cilantro all bring it to life, it's a party in my mouth for sure. I like to request extra cilantro! The staff have been super friendly both visits and I appreciate that so much. Y'all, my pocketbook is going to be hit hard by KC Thai. I need to try her other location Bamboo Penny's soon.

Delicious, timely service, and wonderfully flavorful. Vegetarian rangoons were an amazing start! Loved the Thai Iced Tea as well.

Really nice staff, clean tables and the food is very good, lots of flavor. Only thing we didn’t like is the mango sticky rice dessert looks nothing like the picture. The rice is very dark purple and has a different taste.

Good is very flavorful and always quick. Eat here once a month at least. My favorite is the curry, specifically the Masaman curry.
My favorite Thai restaurant! They have the best panang curry around & the rest of their food I've tried is good too (I almost always opt for panang curry when I go to Thai restaurants). I usually order it to go, but have eaten at the restaurant a couple of times and they have such friendly service. The dining area of the restaurant is great too. It is such a good ambiance for dates, but is great to go enjoy a meal with a friend or alone too.

Best Panang Curry in town! Everything on the menu is wonderful. Excellent Tom Kha soup as well.

I come here for the food, which is excellent, but I also come here for the service, especially from your male server - I don't know his name, but if you've ever been here, you know who I mean. He is spectacular. He treats all customers as friends. He goes above and beyond, whether it's helping someone decide on what to order, or anticipating customer needs before they even happen. Not to mention, he's SO MUCH FUN. I hope KC Thai knows what a gem they have in this server. Oh, and I recommend the Vietnamese soft spring rolls here - they're the best I've ever had anywhere in the KC Metro.

The whole experience was good. Service was quick, ambiance was really nice and peaceful and food was enjoyable. Green curry and red curry are both solid options with some good flavors.
