Busy place! Great vibe. Love supporting local. I only had coffee (for a business meeting) and it was perfect.
Great pastry and we where too late for breakfast but the sandwich didn't disappoint us. Fast service and good food. All different kinds of coffee choices also. Will go again
The food was good, the atmosphere was a little too farmhouse Kitch for me.Also, there was no table control, there were parties of two sitting at a six top, while other larger parties tried to push tables together. Seating control would go a long way.
Best ?? bakery ?? in KC - service is amazing, treats are adorable & taste INCREDIBLE. Also there salmon toast is to die for.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Mothers Day, 2021 - the day before bought 8 different items (cookies, eclairs, frosted cookies, butter cookies, etc). FIVE family members tasted every one of the items purchased and ALL of them went into the garbage can. Absolutely some of the worst food any of us had tasted.....FIVE family members agreed...not just 1 person thought it was crap, FIVE. Nothing was edible out of the variety that we purchased. No clue how this place gets the good reviews that it does.
Absolutely loved this place!! You walk in and it smells amazing in there!! Loved the set up of the whole restaurant, really cool vibes! It was clean, and the staff was very friendly and professional. Our food took a bit longer to come out, but they apologized and offered us a free pastry which was absolutely delicious and well worth the bit of time it took for our food!!Ordered a salmon toast, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was very good and definitely the star of the show, and was complemented very well with a dill spread on the toast, some finely chopped red onion and capers on top. Loved it!!The coffee I ordered was also very good, and their pastries were amazing! We went and bought a few more to take home after we were done eating.Great overall experience, will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone!!
It was fine. I ordered a breakfast bowl for dine in. The food came quickly, but it was lukewarm, which leads me to wonder if it was prepared in bulk and they didn't bother to warm it up. I doubt I'll come back, and I don't recommend it, unless you just want a pastry. Pastry selection was decent and the cookie I bought was good. It was an 'eh' experience. Edit: I was contacted by McLain's, and told I would receive a digital gift card. It never came. That's ok. I didn't ask for it expect it, but it should be noted.
Always a must stop for me when Im in OP. Great food and nice people in a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast market bowl is my go to. Highly recommend you try if you have never been here.
Good food and many selections with great seating. Price is definitely not cheap though.
We've been to McLain's several times now and have been pleased every single time. Drive through is convenient and offers great delivery . Sit in has exterior nooks under trees around the driveway; a lovely open air setting and indoors. Very accommodating and comfortable. Coffee is good and the food is quite tasty. Lots of fresh delicious baked goods.
I have been in MCLain's market many times! I never had a bad experience always GREAT! Food is fresh and delicious! Service is on top level! Everyone is always smiling and being nice! This place has a great vibe!
The app was easy to order on, the coffee is delicious and the food will be making me come back for more. The atmosphere is also so beautiful inside. The only thing is there is almost no parking... but that can also be a good thing.. BUSY BUSY! ☺️
We actually liked this place last time. This time We were given really small portions and honestly it tasted like a cheap hotel breakfast. Not good.
Lovely atmosphere, but a little overpriced. I ordered grilled cheese sandwich for 9.00. I got 2 pieces of toasted bread with lettuce and a smear- think butter or jelly. No cheese. I questioned if I was getting a grilled cheese, thinking there was a delivery mistake to our table and was rude told there was cheese. never again!
Very tasty baked goods but grumpy staff /workers . Very slow . Drive through many times has a woman so slow it backs up the line at lunchtime . For some reason she can't get the order straight ? When I complained to the window server the reply was "I can't do anything about it , she's been here 5 years ". Don't do McLains for lunch unless you have 20-30 extra minutes to sit in line due to slow ordering and wrong orders at pickup window due to the above mentioned person .
