We traveled to Topeka the day before my Birthday and tradition is Birthday person always gets to choose where to eat. I wanted something simple, local and laid back but with good food.Cook’s was it. Their customer service was great, Food was made fresh and brought to us at the table. My daughter absolutely loved her cool Kids Meal truck and held on to it the entire drive home - that’s over an hour away. :) We will definitely be returning when we visit Topeka again.
This place was great!! The atmosphere was just like a Midwest diner, I walked in and immediately knew my food would be great. I was right, the food was delicious. That flat top burger and homemade onion rings was spot on. Highly

Homestyle cooking at its finest! This place has excellent breakfast and the Chicken Fried Chicken/Steak are both delicious. Everything I've tried here so far has been good. Don't go to the national chains support local and try Cook's next time you're in mood for say Cracker Barrel go here
