“This Thai restaurant stands out as one of the best in Kansas for its exceptional food. The dishes are truly amazing, especially the volcano soup with fire pot, the pan-fried chicken dumplings, and the garlic chicken fried rice. Although the atmosphere earned a modest 3-star rating due to initially untidy utensils, the staff promptly exchanged them, ensuring a pleasant dining experience overall.“
“a great little spot for lunch or dinner. the Thai sweet tea was great! I got the sweet and sour chicken with mild slice and it was the perfect combo of spicy and sweet for me as a weak American haha. I love their attention to a clean and inviting atmosphere and they play relaxing music. I think this place deserves more attention! great food. I hope to see them catch on more as I love coming here“
“Buck Tui BBQ is a fun fusion twist between KC barbecue and Southeast Asian dishes. Some cultural purists might cringe at some of the creations, but they all seem to be great combinations. Service was great but the dishes can get pricey. Everyone in our party was delighted with their choices. Delicious and fun!“
“I enjoyed this restaurant. First time here and it was a wonderful experience. Good location. Plenty of parking. Service was very good. Food was delicious. Restaurant was very clean. I liked that the owner was very friendly. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place if you’re craving Thai food.“
“Excellent food & service. My first time experiencing an upscale Thai place and I loved it - my favorite was the appetizer combo and the spring rolls were to-die-for. Must try!!Parking: Parking garage is around the corner, 5 min walk to your car, parallel parking outside that is 2 hour limit.“
“A special place with special food. We got the chud laab (pictured) from the lanna platters and it was incredible! Definitely going to come back on a special occasion and get the biggest one. Alongside this, we also got the coconut yellow curry to try as our main and it was SO delicious! We also got the miang khum appetizer and it was so fun making little leaf wraps with all the dishes of dried shrimp, ginger, nuts, lime, etc. Everything was delicious, and beautiful, a true culinary delight! Two of us split all of this and we both brought boxes home.“
“Stopped in to this place for lunch with a friend after shopping at the city market and it was fairly decent. The spring rolls were so light, crisp and delicious. My entree was the pad woo sen with seafood and it was ok but I wouldn't get it again. It was a little bland. My friend got the chicken dish with diced cabbage , i don't remember the name but it was delicious. The service was great and it was very clean and pretty inside.“
“Would give 6 stars if I could. Best Crab Rangoon in KC. Extremely filling but very light, made and packaged with care. A true gem, 11/10. The only person to give them less than 5 stars, well…they give 1 star to everything, except Dunkin Donuts…“
“Wow! This is a good find! The entrance from the street wasn't impressive, since it seemed always empty inside. Yet, I finally found out the restaurant is long shape/hour glass?!(lol), accessible from farmer's market/parking, actually spacious with bar counter and big 2 tvs which broadcasted Chief's victory parade. Today's soup was flavorful with sweetness, bitterness, sourness and spices. So was my pineapple curry! A server was nice. It looks Valentine's flowers and balloons are available with purchase. I definitely back again and over again!“
“Excellent Thai at great prices! Just off state line makes it super convenient, especially for take out. We got a bunch of stuff, curries, stir fries, dumplings, everything was well cooked and super flavorful. If you want spicy, probably go for hot, medium was pretty mild.Vegetarian options: Almost anything on the menu can be made without a meat protein, with generous portions of vegetables it even in meat versions.“
“I knew after the first bite that I was going to leave a 5 star review. After a long day tasting this food is such a treat. I got Thai fried rice with veggies and no spicy, it is delicious. Mouth watering vegetables! The spring rolls are fresh and delicious too. Thank “
“LOVE LOVE LOVE! I have never had such a pleasant dining experience. The food is authentic, the servers are wonderful, and the family-owned dynamic adds to the experience! I highly recommend you try this restaurant! My great-aunt joined us for dinner last Tuesday, and is historically is not a Thai-cuisine fan, but she has raved about the duck from Sawasdee ever since! We will definitely be back-- this is definitely a staple for our family now!“
“Sorry that there are no pictures but I dove head first into my bowl of yellow curry. It was so good! Many items on the menu looked delicious but I was hangry for chicken curry and it didn't disappoint. I believe that they have a buffet for lunch and we plan on going back very soon. I highly suggest that you give Bangkok Pavilion a try.“
“We really enjoyed our meals at Spices. My husband had the duck specialty dish and I had the seafood fried rice. My only complaint was the mussels were sandy (in the seafood rice,) I'm not much of a muscle person anyway so I picked them out. We went for lunch and the restaurant wasn't too busy, but we enjoyed that we could talk easily with little background noise. We will be going back.“
“I am incredibly impressed! Kaitlyn was our server and she exceeded expectations with a joyful attitude the entire time. Not only was she clearing all the tables, greeting customers promptly and cheerfully, running her own food, and answering the phone- she was also making all the drinks!Everything was delicious; I especially enjoyed the yellow curry! Will definitely be going back soon.“
“small location with good service and one of the better pad thais I’ve had while traveling. The portion amount is very generous and sauce used was very flavorful and not much of a sweet note I have found at other locations. Lunch on a Saturday was pretty busy, but I sat at the bar with no issue. Service was efficient and they accept contactless payments.“
“Seeing they had a “spicy beef” similar to a bun bo hue on their week day lunch menu, and that some had commented recently it was very good I had to try it, as I have been looking for the best ones in Kansas City. I really enjoyed this bowl. It isn’t the biggest portion in the city, but as a lunch special it worked for me. It had good flavor and a lot of meat, all I would prefer would be more spice.“
“This place is awesome. The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is really nice. All of the waitresses are really nice and the food is good.Parking: It's located in a strip mall so you have a whole strip malls worth of parking lot“
“Been here a couple times recently and love their food. Lots of veggies, lots of great options, it's easy to eat here and not feel like you just ate a whole pizza. Recently learned that the Drunken Noodles are what some Thai places call Pad Kee Mao, so just FYI, that's the best.“
“Incredible selection of food. Diverse, flavorful. Gluten free and vegetarian options. Seasonal menu as well. The staff was incredibly gracious and kind. Great atmosphere. We ordered the Pepper Basil Beef (best thing ever) and the Pad Thai (WONDERFUL). The cocktail selection was superb. Old Fashioned with a rose ice cube! How cool.Glad this location is in Overland Park! We are new regulars!“
“Compared to the Crossroads location, I liked that this location is quieter and staff members are friendlier. The food was flavorful and good portion sized as always, although it's always a hit or miss with the spice levels depending on the day/who is cooking I think.Vegetarian options: Tofu as Protein option for dishes“
