“This is a small, unassuming Thai restaurant tucked away in a mini strip mall near Pawnee and Rock in Wichita. The atmosphere is clean and modest but the food.... The food was spectacular when we dropped by for lunch today. My wife ordered Pad Thai - Flat Noodle Style (not spicy) and I ordered the Drunken Noodles (hot). My Drunken Noodles were delicious with just enough heat to create a bit of sheen on my face. ? We'd definitely recommend this to other people!“
“We were looking for a sports bar to watch March Madness. I’m so glad that we decided on Walk-On’s. Ralph went above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of. He was bringing us a refill of soda before we even needed to ask. The waffle cheese fries were amazing! The Black Jack Chicken Sandwich was recommended by our waiter, Ralph. This big sandwich comes with two pieces of chicken, grilled and juicy. We will definitely be coming back to Walk-On’s!“
“Heard about this place from my girlfriends boss o we decided to go here for our birthday the 11th an 12th we were not dissatisfied 1 bit.. The chips an salsa were great plus got a amazing seafood appetizer an 2 very different dishes both were out this world. My pineapple shrimp dish came out with with my mouth open! My girl didn't even get the chance or refused to share hahaha. We will go here again, the price was very easy on the eyes with what we ordered.“
“It's a tiny building (like an old sonic drive in), so there's only 5 tables inside.The cashier is really nice and the food is DELICIOUS. The portions are big. Honestly, it was the best seafood I've had in Wichita. The catfish reminds me of what you get down south in Mississippi or Louisiana. They were busy when I went, so definitely call ahead for carry out if you're in a hurry.“
“This is one of our favorite restaurants in Wichita. Love the food, vibe and service. Normally we get one of the fresh fish specials or the amazing George Banks Scallops but tonight we went with small plates.The crab cakes are so good and we added the seared steak and it had amazing flavor. Of course we started with some fresh oysters as always, very good. Sydney was our server for the second time and she is one of the best we have had at any restaurant. She is very attentive and it is obvious she wants the dining experience to be a memorable one.“
“I have visited AVI several times now, and I particularly enjoy it. On my most recent occasion, Chenoa was our server and made the experience particularly enjoyable and friendly! She made recommendations for both appetizers and dessert which were extraordinary. I was a sucker for the grilled salmon, and the creme brûlée was absolutely delightful. The ambiance was very nice, the meals were well crafted (and delicious) and Chenoa displayed her understanding of good dishes and tell customers the particular ways that the restaurant really shines. It was a great experience, and I will definitely have many more. If you live downtown Wichita, there is no reason not to try it out, and if you don't live nearby, its definitely worth trying out.“
“We had the mac n cheese bites to share. I got a platter with 3 chicken tenders and a catfish fillet with potatoes and gravy for the side. My mom got 3 chicken tenders with fries. The gravy was alright for fast food but not my favorite, I dipped my chicken in it and that was good but I didn't want to eat just the potatoes and gravy. The chicken tenders are big. Neither of us could finish all 3. Mac n cheese bites were really good but they seemed like they were made with box mac n cheese? Not that that's a bad thing necessarily but it wasn't what I expected. The catfish was really good. The fries were amazing. They were kind of like popeyes with the really crisp coating. The ranch was clearly bottled instead of made fresh. My family is kind of snooty when it comes to ranch so it wasn't up to our high standards. The woman at the register was really nice and made sure we knew that the mac n cheese bites were fried triangles, not just regular mac n cheese. The food was all out pretty quickly. I was very sad that they didn't have the deep fried ice cream. I've been looking for a restaurant with real deep fried ice cream for probably about 7 years now and this was the first place I saw that had pictures in the reviews of it. But they don't have it right now Hope they bring it back soon“
“This was our first time going. I went in feeling a little skeptical. I mean, we live in KS. How good could it REALLY be. I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was super hot, fresh and full of flavor. I mean FULL flavor. Just the right spice. My guy had the fish basket and I got the $36 special that comes with crab legs and choice of 2 other meats (we picked shrimp and clams). Then added sausage. And we shared all of it. Filled us up and then some!! I’ll definitely go back.“

“CAUTION!!!!So, I loved our server and food. However there was this man at the front behind the hostess desk that was picking his nose and eating it!!!! That made my stomach turn before I even sat at my table. Then that same guy started talking to me when I went to use the restroom and made me feel very uncomfortable. Telling me I was hot? I asked another worker what his name was so I could address it with a manager, and they told me that he was the manager on duty and his name is Tyler. Well Tyler, you should be terminated for such behavior. Absolutely disgusted. So needless to say, since he was the manager on duty, there was nothing I could really do. I live out of state and was just traveling through, so I would have to try and get ahold of another manager to let them know about this man's behavior..“
“Mariscos Cheli was one of the most hidden gems that you’ll love to try. It was my first time being in this restaurant. I would like to thank the owner for his hospitality and his service. Talking to the owner, he was very passionate of his restaurant and i could taste the passion in the food he served to us. The bacon wrapped shrimp dish was very delicious. The restaurant was very clean and organized. I would definitely bring my friends and family here to eat and bring more recognition for this local restaurant.“
“This was our first time at The Sweet Spot. We attended with a large party to celebrate a Birthday. It took a long time to order food, and at least 45 minutes to get the food. My husband ordered prime rib, and lobster tail and I ordered one of the steaks. The presentation as you can see In pictures was beautiful. However, my husband’s steak was not warm when it came out. When they took it back to warm up, it came out overdone. The food was good, but not great, or better than we have had at other places in Wichita and definitely for less money. For 2 of us it was over $200, and no compensation offered on my husbands prime rib. We don’t intend to return due to experience and the value for the quality of food. However still recommend for others to try, maybe your experience would be better if smaller party, or don’t mind the $$$.“

Here is why you should go to Amore: Friendly service Good, family-made Italian food Reasonable prices, with a varied menu Here is what Amore could do to get better: Improve on their appetizers Parmesan on salads, not mozzarella And not much else Amore is a fine choice for Italian fare, and reminds me of the old Angelo's that has been around for decades. The dishes have a fresh taste, the baked pasta dishes are screaming hot, and they fill your bread basket if you wish. With a couple of glasses of wine, house salads, and two baked dishes, two of us dined for about $60 plus a tip, and the value is absolutely there. It's not a five-star spot - yet - but Amore can absolutely get there. Solid option for Twin Lakes/Benjamin Hills residents.“
