“La Hiro is a hidden gem in the Cincy area for traditional Japanese cuisine. Our family absolutely loves Kiki for its modern Japanese flavors, but La Hiro is our personal favorite for traditional Japanese. We were shocked to be here between 6:30-7:30 on a Saturday evening and we were the only ones in the restaurant. That is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant of this quality. Don’t let the fact that it’s next to a liquor store in a small strip center turn you away. The quality and service are top notch…I just wish it was closer to home!“
“For being such a small, likely overlooked little restaurant, my family and I were surprised at the flavor and taste of everything we ordered. Beautifully decorated and the staff were all super nice, seriously, this place is underrated, definitely one of the best dine in experiences I've had in years.“
“I recently savored a delightful home-cooked meal at this traditional Japanese restaurant. The inviting traditional tatami rooms infused the dining experience with a comforting authenticity. Opting for the bento, I delighted in a diverse array of flavors – from the impeccably grilled Maruyaki fish to the crispy tempura and an assortment of sashimi, showcasing various delectable cuts of fish. What set this experience apart was the unmistakable touch of home in each dish. The vegetable stew, reminiscent of a family recipe, seamlessly complemented the ensemble. Notably, the Japanese sticky rice, with its authentic hometown taste, provided a warm and nostalgic embrace, elevating the entire meal to a cherished home-cooked affair. If you appreciate the homely touch in your dining experience and crave authentic Japanese flavors, this restaurant is a must-try. It's not just a meal; it's a heartwarming journey into the heart of Japanese home cooking.“
“I lived in China and been traveling the world, that’s why I can tell you that this food tastes as 100% Chinese food! It is soooo good! It became one of my favorite places.Staff is really nice and the owner is great! I talked to her and she even shared with me a Chinese calendar! The gyozas are amazing and the fried rice as well! I can’t wait to be back .I also ordered to go and the service is really good!Tea is amazing, order it“
“We finally tried this place yesterday for the first time. We got a sushi roll to share at first and it was really good! I got the Hibachi chicken and my boyfriend got the Udon noodles with chicken. They were both delicious and came out so fast. The salad and onion soup were SO GOOD, probably one of the best soups I’ve tasted. We both had to get a box to go because it’s a lot of food! Our waiter was so nice and friendly too and he made the experience even better! I would definitely recommend this place.“
“It's a good place. I do enjoy it and the kids love it. I wish however that they would have all the cooks doing pretty much the same act. It isn't a huge deal but some just cook with minimal entertainment. Still an excellent place though and the food is good.“
“My boyfriend and I came in tonight closer to closing. He ordered the steak, shrimp, and chicken hibachi with fried dumplings and I had the teriyaki chicken bento box with spicy crab sushi, and crab Rangoon. The food was SO good. But, I think the shining point of dinner was their young daughter coming up to play with us then later asking if we needed anything. You can tell this is a mom and pop type restaurant and I absolutely love it. I hope to come back in soon!“
