We come here almost every week and order the same thing and have for over 10 years. They can seldom get the order correct. Regularly. And the young staff seems irritated that we have to have them correct it. Even after we tip them well. Further no manager ever handles the mistakes. Malones has gone down hill and it is a shame because the McCarty’s (owners) are a wonderful family whom we know personally. As business owners ourselves it is sad that management allows this to go on and the staff is so poorly trained in customer service.

Fantastic restaurant with quite a variety on the menu. Salads, sandwiches, appetizers, steaks and seafood. Prices and portions were very reasonable and all of the staff was very friendly. They have great choices for wine, beer, or liquor and cocktails.

The food was great as always. Our server (didn’t tell us his name), but he was 40’s with dark wavy hair was extremely rude (shook his head and rolled his eyes) because the Dr Pepper was out and we asked him for new drinks after eating 3/4 of our meal without a drink already. He then went to talk about us and point at us to 2 other employees. Highly recommend for amazing food, but the employees need to step it up. We all get busy, but there is no need for disrespect.

It is a '10' out of 10 experience! The bread with the flavored garlic butter was delicious for starters. I ordered a Moscow Mule while looking at the menu. Our server, Penn, was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Grilled Salmon with grilled asparagus and the signature 'Lexingtonian' salad. The whole meal was prepared to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I went there again for dinner and surprisingly were seated quickly. Started with a bourbon and Calamari (fantastic) then filets, mac n cheese and salad (all excellent). We had to finish with creme brûlée and the service could not have been better. Always a favorite!

I came here for mother's day the for my very first time and let me tell you the steak was so amazing that I have to literally only come here for steak! I've never tasted a steak cook so well done that I'm literally Bragging about the food here! You need to eat here!!My steak was cooked to perfection! It was juicy and tender and still pink, I get my steak medium done so it was delicious! The seasoning they used was really good too. My dessert was so tasty there wasn't anything left afterwards to take home!! If you don't try Malones and love it, something is definitely wrong with you lol.

The service was top notch! They had a power outage at our reservation time but they handled it flawlessly. As soon as the power was back on we were seated. I expected the service to be slow as a result but they proved me wrong. What a great team they have there. Everyone pitched in and you would have never known the setback they faced early in the night. Bread and delicious garlic butter were brought to the table immediately. We asked for a baguette to take home we both loved it so much! The spinach and artichoke dip was on the sweeter side but wonderful and the lasagna chips were amazing. (Just try them!) The petite filet and ribeye steak did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly and tender. Love the Lexingtonian salad. Would definitely recommend!

We left the Lexington area about 3 1/2 years ago and have been talking about coming back since just to have dinner at Malone's again. We made reservations and took an overnight detour on our way to visit family in Northern Ohio to celebrate my husband's birthday with a Malone's steak. Anyone with children knows that going out to a nice dinner is not always easy so with out 4 year old and 1 year old we made an early reservation and hoped for the best. Even arriving 15 minutes early they were able to seat us right away. Everyone we spoke to was kind and accommodating. Both of our servers were absolutely fabulous making sure we had a wonderful experience. Malone's overall has never let us down. Our food arrived quickly, it was hot, and smelled amazing. My husband had a large filet with a baked potato and I had twin filets Oscar style with the pecan casserole as a side. Our daughter had a grilled cheese and our son nibbled on a little of everything. We have been to many different places all over the country and Malone's still has the best steaks by far that we have ever had.
I used to eat here all the time when I lived in Lexington. It’s so good! I even brought my mom, who had never had sushi. She loved it. Great vegetarian options, attentive service, and nice ambiance. Alcohol is available, too. I’m not sure why this place doesn’t have a better rating. I went many times, and it was always consistently good at a reasonable price. The staff was always so nice. I left my keys once and a waitress came and met me in the parking lot after closing to return them.
