I wouldn't eat here again. The pasta we got was gritty like something in it made it feel like sand In your mouth . The bread was hard. Waiter was in a super big hurry not paying attention. Didn't get the drinks right. Just ordered water no ice with lemon. Got super ice with no lemon. I was disappointed. Steak was cooked good on top tho.

We had a wonderful meal at Sutton's! We stopped for an early dinner based on the online reviews and the fact that it's a family-owned restaurant.Wendy was our server and she was great! She was very friendly and helpful, and she was not fazed by my special dietary needs. Also, the owner came over to talk with us and was friendly and pleased to hear we were thrilled with our food, which was all delicious and fresh.

We enjoy Sutton’s every week. Love the eggplant parmigiana and the salmon entrees. Wednesday’s half price wine is a real deal as well!

I came in as a first time guest for a quick lunch. The server, Sutton, was absolutely precious. I got the spaghetti and meatballs lunch portion and garlic bread. The portion size was perfect for lunch. I do really wish that there were more lunch options available because I want to try the alfredo with shrimp. I will definitely come back when I have a bigger appetite.

I've been here several times. It's gotten too expensive and the portions have gotten smaller. I just can't afford it. Thanks Joe for ruining everything.

We were passing through Lexington on our way to Cumberland and wanted to eat somewhere different than a chain. Google led us to Sutton’s. We called to make a reservation. The hostess on the phone was very polite. We were surprised when we arrived that they weren’t very busy for a Friday night. Usually not a good sign. However we were seated and asked our waitress for her suggestions. We started started with the pepperoni pups. Delicious! The marinara was fresh and full of flavor and they were stuffed with pepperoni. Fresh bread with olive oil and herbs came out while we were waiting on our main course. Between the 4 of us we got 2 of the bourbon barrel burgers with the recommended fries, and the Manzo Parmesan Pasta. Everything was absolutely delicious. The steak on the pasta was cooked perfectly and the burgers are definitely at the top of our list as far as burgers go. We had to finish with dessert. Chocolate layer cake and Tiramisu did not disappoint either. The owner Gordon visited our table and made sure everything was good. We are so glad we found Sutton’s Family Italian! Do yourself a favor and skip Olive Garden and try this place. Side note: The place was very clean and so were the restrooms. Can’t wait to come back and try the chicken Parmesan.

Great night at Sutton’s we devoured our pizza. Great bread, homemade Caesar-dressing on the salad. All in all a 5 star meal!

The most disappointing Valentine’s Day dinner. Did not get the bread with olive oil plate to start, ordered kids drinks that arrived without lids resulting in an immediate spill, waited about 10+ more minutes for waiter to take our order, 30+ minutes for the food to arrive….longer for the drinks (cocktails) we ordered and they were not good at all. Asked for the manager multiple times and they never showed up. Ordered a kids meal for my 2 to share, no extra plate. Asked multiple times for an extra plate…they ended up eating off napkins. Arrived at 7:24; left just before 9. While walking out observed a table WITH bread and olive oil and encountered a couple who in fact had reservations from 8pm still waiting while multiple tables sat empty. I understand staffing issues, I understand mistakes being made, what I cannot tolerate is a manager/staff who completely bail on customers. Be proactive, be honest with your customers, compensate for the issues BEFORE the complaints come in if you know your staff is struggling, BE PRESENT. I am so sad to see this place go so far down hill, but ultimately it was a complete fail on management’s part. Food was fine…best part of the experience minus the no bread to start ?‍♀️Also fair to note the waiter was very apologetic and knew how poor our experience was…no attempt to compensate on the ticket; probably couldn’t find the manager. Paid far too much for what we got…$3 for each kid’s drink!? Never offered a refill; this list goes onKid-friendliness: Did not accommodate for kids (see main review) and charge way too much for their drinks which come with the meal at most other restaurants if this price range.

I have never been treated so rudely in a restaurant. My group of 4 had a reservation. The hostess took us to a noisy table by the kitchen. I asked for a table adjacent that was quieter. The owner came and said he had a plan and to not disturb his plan. I asked what the difference was where we sit, and he said to provide excellent service. Incredulous, I asked if the service would not be good at the other table? He relented and walked away. Then, as my group was enjoying dessert, the owner came to the table, put his hands down on the table and said, I need this table. We have another reservation and you have to leave. We gladly left to have coffee elsewhere and will never return. The absolute worst restaurant experience of my life.
