AHHH! My absolutely favorite gem I found. It's such a quaint little house. It was raining and we sat outside on the front porch in a little corner. The vibes unbeatable. Inside was super cute too. Now, the two behind the counter were absolutely dolls. They were both very kind and hoping for sure my food was good. There were two men I think that may be higher up there and they inquired how everything was and seemed to actually care. Loved that. The food was RIDICULOUSLY fast. Like I couldn't believe it. And my sandwich was hot and fresh and my fries were absolutely perfect. Thank you guys!! Please go, they will not disappoint.

Absolutely, a must try! This place is in an old downtown building that must have 200 plus years of history and the sandwiches here are memorable. I have stopped here four times in the past year and everything I have tried is made to order, large sandwiches, very tasty. My favorite is the New Orleans (ham, mortadella, prosciutto, salami, provolone, swiss fontina and smoked mozzarella with olive spread on ciabatta) but the Italian, Texarkana (Steak) and the Baton Rouge (blackened catfish) are worthy of a re-order too. I have yet to order a burger but that will have to be next up! Their French Fries come out hot, fresh and well seasoned. The inside dining area is rustic, cramped but historical in feel and their service is very fast and friendly! Get there if you have not been and go please back often to support a fine local business!

We had an awesome time. Had the patio all to ourselves(Me the wife and the dog!) Food was great! Drinks were strong!

Super friendly service at the counter! Unique and yummy food offerings. We found on Yelp when neighboring places had 1 hour+ waits = nice find!

All burgers and sandwiches. Had the black bean burger. Was delicious. Just the right size. Came with seasoned fries and drink for ~$14. Would come back again to try other burgers. Staff very friendly and courteous. Great service. Cute space. Love the intimate homey feel of it.

This place was not at all what we expected, but it was so so good! The atmosphere: picture a small house, with the inside gutted and turned into a little diner with a bar. Quaint, a bit of a tight squeeze, but functional nonetheless. The food: you order at the counter, then they bring it to you when ready. Everything was served on disposable wear, no dishes to be done here. The Southern Poutine was delicious! Sausage gravy instead of the classic brown gravy on poutine was fire. The burger was also delicious; well seasoned with a tasty beer cheese, on a soft tasty bun. The only downfall was that they really didn't look as appetizing as they were. I was missing some char on the burgers, they were a very flat pale color. Still tasted good! The fries are covered in seasoning salt, maybe a little too much. The bar: small, but a pretty decent variety of drinks given the size. Only two beers on tap, then several canned options. A handful of specialty cocktails listed on the wall. The best part: they have a killer happy hour! I've never been somewhere with a Saturday happy hour, but they do here! I believe it was 4-6:30, half off beer and cocktails and appetizers! Not a place to take a huge group of people, but great food and a fun atmosphere! Staff were all pretty great too!

Their burgers are hands down mouthwatering!!! I couldn't enjoy this burger more than I did, the patty is soft, the beer cheese is delicious and the buns are toasted perfectly. The fries are really good as well but I wish they put more fries on. This restaurant is order at the window although I would prefer having a server. Excellent burger, but finding parking can be a struggle around this restaurant.

Noce place close to downtown and uk campus. Burgers are great and nice drink selection. Can sit on street, on patio, at bar or tables. Small but lots of options.

After hearing about this place from my coworkers, I picked up a club sandwich today and it was delicious. My first time eating there but I’ll definitely be back for more. Many more things I want to try. Thanks for a great lunch!

Was sooo excited to try this place for their awesome looking burgers...but alas, they were only serving brunch on the day we visited. However, we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of their breakfast itemed menu! I settled on a biscuits-n-gravy plate and my wife a breakfast sandwich. Both dishes were perfectly prepared, and the accompanying diced potatoes to my wife's sandwich had a great seasoning on them and crispy exterior to bite into. Their biscuit recipe (used on both my plate and the sandwich) were very thin and not overly fluffy, but the buttery texture and flavor made for the perfect pairing in each meal. I really liked the thickness and peppery flavor of the gravy on my dish. A small and intimate space, I cannot wait to return and try those messy looking burger creations they have. Next time Lexington, next time.

We were passing through and wanted a place to eat downtown. We were a little surprised at the small size of the building, but we are game to try anything with decent Yelp reviews. We walked in and were immediately acknowledged. As soon as the employee/owner (?) knew we hadn't been there, he explained how everything worked. Very friendly and welcoming! We got the Nashville and the Decatur. Both excellent!

We recommend the Southern Deli. Its interior is typical of campus-area bars and restaurants - kind of cramped and not especially clean. But the food, service and upbeat vibe are excellent. My wife and I both enjoyed our meal, a Memphis Hot Chicken sliders for me and a Reuben for her. And the fountain drinks included organic juices as well as soda. The juices were great - a much better choice than the standard soda.

The Winchester is one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life.

Never been here, but stopped in for something different. Place was very nice; loved the décor. Not knowing what to do when I walked in it took me a minute to realize I had to walk up to the counter to order and seat myself at any open table. No problem, just through me off. So, just throwing out a choice and not really reading into it I ordered the "southern". It was everything the menu said it was. LOTS of meat, I had to eat it with a plastic fork because it wouldn't fit in my mouth.. Served on paper plates with plastic fork and knife. It was good, not amazing but that is on me. I am not much on pimiento cheese with a hamburger. should have noticed that on the menu. You get a lot of food for what you pay, but be prepared to pay. I had the Southern and a Dt Coke and it was $23.00 with tip. as you can see from the pics.. it was a monster. I will be back to try other things. Staff was cordial and I did not wait maybe 5 min for my food. Again, I will be back to try other things.
