We had a huge party at Sweet Havana. The service was impeccable. I felt at home both times we visited while in Louisville. Highly recommend you visit for some authentic food and service.
Louisville is fortunate to have a good number of Cuban restaurants to choose from ranging from reservations required to quick bites. Locals, do not sleep on Sweet Havana. It's counter service and they will bring your food to you. We have had most of the sandwiches and all are delicious! The papas rellenas are the best in the city. Wonderful hole-in-the-wall Cuban food. Clean and understated place that produces excellent staple foods. The Lechon Asado was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The tostones were great, and the plantains were fresh. Fresh bread lines one wall, and their dessert cooler looks like pure evil! I felt like I was in Miami.
