“This was the best restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. There is a gas skillet built into the table and you cook your own meat, nothing better than hot off the grill!! It’s so interactive and such a nice place. It is on the expensive side, but I wasn’t left feeling bad about that, hell everything is expensive these days! Best cut of beef I’ve had in years, will be returning again soon!Vegetarian options: They have vegetable and non meat items.“
“This is some of the best barbecue food I've had. I came on a Sunday and got the smoked meatloaf, candy yams, Collard greens, and Cornbread meal. Everything was delicious. I ate every last morsel. It's definitely worth coming to and definitely worth recommending.“
“BBQ was fantastic!! Wings were large and meaty and so delicious!! Pulled pork was so fresh and fabulous and the smoked baked beans were fantastic.. the service AMAZING, owners are so kind and helpful and patiently waited for my order! My new place for BBQ.. I’m in LOVE!!Parking: Plenty of parking and also a handicapped parking spot right beside the wheelchair ramp.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly / family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair / handicap assessable“
“Pretend it's a 6 star review ! The bourbon sauce for the ribeye. Is to die for ! OMG the fries are simply super. Simon @ Garfunkal is the way to go. Onion straws are the perfect balance for the sweet steak sauce.Service and the feel of this place is old school and home like. Step back into a much better time.Is Wednesday still meatloaf night ??? :-)“
“They were out of forks and I had to eat my mac and cheese with my fingers....and I would still go back...also had Fry's and a pulled pork... everything was awesome.... I'll be back next Time I'm in town....Thanks Guys...I really enjoyed my dinner!!“
“Great service. Lots of choice on the menu no matter what you diet (except vegan). Our party of 4 got amazing, BBQ chicken breast, fall-of-the-bone ribs, brisket sandwich, burgoo and fried fish. Sides were green beans, corn muffin, and potato salad.Having Celiac, I was thrilled to find they have a gluten-free/allergen menu. It's just an information chart really, but it's easy to read and very helpful. The waitress said she'd ask the kitchen to change their gloves to avoid cross-contamination. Unfortunately, I got glutened & have been sick for 2 days and missed a day of work.Vegetarian options: Not the best option. The green beans have lots of meat in them. Potato salad has boiled egg in it.I'm sure you could order a salad, baked potato and maybe a steamed vegetable. Check out their menu online ahead of time.Dietary restrictions: Ask for an allergen menu that lists gluten, dairy, wheat and other items. I ordered the rib & chicken combo with green beans and potato salad. The regular menu has an obscure notice box explaining the possibility of gluten cross-contamination. I have Celiac disease & asked the waitress about extra precautions. She said she'd ask the staff to change their gloves & all my items were listed as not containing gluten, wheat or dairy. When our food came out, my dinner was brought out separately, which was great. (There was no Texas toast on top of my plate either.) But, I got glutened anyway. It's hard to know what goes on in the kitchen. Eating out is usually risky so consider that if eating here. The food was well prepared and tasted great.“
“The owner and his staff are very friendly. The restaurant is really clean on the inside. The first time I ordered, I got a rib tip dinner with greens and Mac and cheese. The second time, I only ordered rib tips and one of the staff asked me did I want sides. I told them no because I had sides at home. I let them know that the Mac and cheese was not so great and the owner came out and apologized for that and gave me a free slice of cake to make up. I thought that was really nice of him. He told me that he appreciated my feedback. I still visit every weekend and I get rib tips, greens and potato salad now and a slice of cake but I gotta get it early before it sells out.“
“Good neighborhood bar. We stayed at an airbnb across the street and y'all know the very best bar is a bar you can walk to. Great beer selection, good prices. The night I was there Buffalo Trace was $4! Music was ON POINT. We did order the food special of the night... some kind of siracha sausage sandwich and it was really underwhelming, but I think this probably just isn't a bar that's known for its food. For what it's worth, the onion rings were good and crispy. Not a big crowd on a Tuesday night in March, but I'd imagine it's hopping on the weekends.“
“Easily one of the best BBQ restaurants in the area. The food was absolutely fantastic. The brisket melts in your mouth, the sausage was delicious, and the chicken was so moist and flavorful. The staff are super friendly and take great care of you. I love how they honor US soldiers and safety workers, which creates an unmatched atmosphere. I highly recommend eating here.“
“I discovered the Shepherdsville location yesterday when I was searching for soup for lunch and was in that area. They (their deli) popped up on Yelp and WOW am I glad that I made that stop!! I am always on the lookout for beef tenderloin and other meats at a good prices and found them there. I didn't get one but their meat 'bundles' seem like a great value! They even trimmed up my tenderloin for me and cut it into gorgeous filets! This small, local business is doing it 100% right and it is now my go to meat market. Bye Bye K-word! :-)“
“Homestyle cooked Jamaican food. I highly recommend the jerk chicken, jerk turkey ribs and hibiscus ginger drink. Plantains, cabbage and greens are my favorites sides. The goat tastes good, but if you get overwhelmed by bones, then it is not for you. Bon “
“Nine years since I first wrote a review of Feast BBQ! NINE YEARS! Considering how highly my family and I regard Feast BBQ, it's way overdue for an update. And I can sum it all up like this: loaded tots! Get them piled high with pulled pork. The great BBQ + slaw + green onions + tots (obviously) -- these are pure comfort and stick-to-your-ribs goodness. I can't go to Feast and get anything else. But when I want something in addition to the loaded tots, I go for the fried pickles and an Ale-8 bourbon slushie. Feast BBQ also has online ordering, which we use when we order food while at Akasha Brewing next door. It always makes me happy to see the long tables inside this restaurant full of people. I don't want Feast BBQ to go anywhere. It's the best BBQ in Louisville IMO.“
“My wife told me about Noche and we have been trying to make time to go there for months. The wait was well worth it! We had patio seating. The weather was ideal and the seating was comfortable. The brisket was delicious and the plantains were out-of-this-world good. Our server, Jeremy was OUTSTANDING. He made sure we were taken care of, and was very pleasant. Noche will definitely get a return trip from us!“
“Best bar in the area definitely recommended for a night out of your into a bar for everyone great people and it is newly renovated as wellParking: Alot of parking no way you can't get a spotKid-friendliness: Family friendly b4 too lateWheelchair accessibility: Ez for everyone to get in and out“
“The food is 10/10 hands down! We had Shack in the Back cater our wedding and again 10 OUT OF 10! Love everything about this place and the southern hospitality from start to finish. The tasting was great, the owner did that herself, she was very kind and easy to talk to. Her right hand women was very kind as well when we dropped off our remaining balance. They just went above and beyond and we appreciated that more than anything. Thank you.“
“Came in while on vacation from NY. Got the onion strings and a burger. My husband and I were stuffed. Strings were very crispy and the sauce delicious. We ordered the BBQ cheese burger with slaw. Slaw was fresh and crunchy. The burger was delicious. Perfectly charred but not overcooked and the bbq sauce was delicious. Recommend to anyone who wants to avoid the tourist traps on vacation and get a delicious meal.“
“Best rib tips I've ever had by far and great prices I've ate there multiple times and the consistency is on point never had an issue but unfortunately all I've ever eaten are the rib tips lol. Nothing but good compliments on other menu items from other people though. Deff worth the visit every time. SUPPORT SMALL LOCAL BUSINESSES!!!!“
“I had always wanted to try Big Ben's and I'm glad I finally did. When I first walked in I was met with a warm welcome and a very down to earth bunch. You can totally tell this is a family run restaurant. The menu was simple enough to understand and not overflowing with too many options. We settled on the Bear's Bear option and it came with plenty to feed 4-5 of us. I loved reading the history that is all over the walls while we waited, which wasn't long, and learned a few things along the way. Now I am actually pretty picky when it comes to greens and eating them anywhere but at my family gatherings as I do not like any type of canned greens and usually thats what I'm presented with when I dare to order them from a restaurant. I chose to dare this day, however, because the gentleman behind the counter response when asked if they were fresh or canned was how I had almost given him a heart attack at the idea that they would even think to use canned and utter shock at the audacity to even need to ask. So I was sold and man was I not disappointed. These greens were some of the best I have ever had, almost better than my father's! They were cleaned properly, seasoned and cooked beautifully and the taste was the product of someone who knows what they are doing. I did not get any sand or mush just nice hearty leaf after leaf. I will definitely be back for more. We also had rib and rib tips which were both cooked properly and had a nice solid smoke mark present in every piece. They still were capable of staying on the bone yet we weren't playing tug a war trying to get a bite. We were given plenty of BBQ sauce on the side which meant we go as light or heavy as we wanted. The potato salad was Good and had that homemade type of look and taste to them that just took me back to those family gatherings I went to as a kid. I snapped a picture of my plate after I finished most of my greens because I never intended to write a review but I wanted to have proof that I actually ate and enjoyed greens from a restaurant cause my family knows I do not play around when it comes to the quality a thing of greens has to have to make it on and off my plate“
“Found this place by luck, it is literally a whole in the wall from the outside and wifey and I were skeptical, but the staff were inviting and the food, let's just say you do not need the sauce on the ribs, they are very flavorful, the tots and pork, mouth watering, BBQ beans the best I have ever had, street corn is that sh..t. and from what I read they really give back to the community.I'm new to town but I have been a lot of places and this is top 15 enjoy“
“Legendary. This food is prepared with dedication. This is a family of people that love each other live in the community have been here I appreciate them. I'm not going to say nothing about the menu You got to go there for yourself and try this barbecue Thank me later. Thank you guys see you soon.Parking: It's a squeeze. well worth it!“
“Our server, Jakaela was fantastic! They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was A-ma-zing! Well needed for the roadtrip home. Fantastic location. The place was full but we got a seat in less then 15 minutes and the food came out super quick. A+++++“
