I wasn't expecting much about this place but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. It's a classic corner bar : small, darkish, steeped in local history & flavor, food that tastes good but is not exactly good for you and a blind dog named Socks who is welcoming & friendly. I got the deep fried hoagie with fries and enjoyed every messy, gooey, savory bite of it. If it doesn't get too crowded, I may make this my Bengals game watching bar.
Friendly clientele, bartender & owner! I came by to ask if I could put out some candidate signs, ended up having a great conversation with Joe Pelle. Regardless of our political party affiliations, we need each other, Campbell County. Fire fighting, food & drink, medical care -- we have these needs and more in common!

Exceptional food, great service, reasonable prices. This is a neighborhood throwback establishment - the sort every neighborhood used to have one or several of, but which are getting harder to find. Glad I visited.
