We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. The atmosphere is very nostalgic, the crew is very helpful and polite, and the food was amazing. My family tried the collard greens sandwich, the fried bologna sandwich and the mama tried burger. The start of the show was the fried bologna sandwich but the collard green sandwich was a very close second. The burger was tasty as well. If you are in the area, I recommend giving it a try!”

“It might not look pretty from the photo but this sandwich packed a ton of flavor. This was the last stop on our trip to New Orleans and what a better way to end it than with a Po Boy. I have watched a bunch of videos on this place so I was excited to finally be here in person. It has a ton of character and it feels like a real treat for the area. I was initially going to order the standard shrimp po boy until I saw the James Brown. Although not traditional, it seemed like a crazy delicious concoction so I figured why not give it a shot!So, the James Brown blew away my expectations! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and it was still very juicy even though it was fried. I noticed it had a lighter fry so you get the best of both worlds with that crunchy exterior and the meaty shrimp interior. It was quite a surprise how good the shrimp was by itself, but I cannot forget that slow cooked BBQ beef. That beef was flavorful and oh so tender! The combination of the slow cooked BBQ beef and the shrimp was out of this world. Words can't explain how good this was so you will have to try it for yourself!Even the small sandwich was quite filling so bring your appetite when you come here. They also have plentiful amounts of seating indoors and outdoors so you should be able to grab a spot before the crowds hit. We had arrived right at open a few minutes before the gate opened, but there were already a few other people waiting too. I think that goes to show the reputation of this place and the quality of food they are cranking out!”

First off, with the service – it was seriously on point. You could tell the staff were genuinely enjoying service to us, which made the whole vibe very welcoming. Our server was MC, and chatting with her and the Host about the menu and small talk felt like shooting the breeze with friends – no stiff vibes, just good ol' friendly chatter. Well, let's just say, even though the brunch menu wasn't overflowing with options, each dish was a pure winner. The rice bowls had a good portion and presentation. Everything we tried was very good. The spicy sushi we tried was not at all spicy but was good. The salmon belly was really good and I recommend this highly. I was not highly impressed with the whole experience because I left hungry and would not return here for a second trip. The sushi portions are very small.”
