“Bob Boudreau and I were in NOLA for 9 nights. Three of the nights we had reservations at other places with family. Our 1st night we looked up and found Jewel of the South. We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. “Came here after finding so many good reviews about it and it even came across my Tik Tok page. It absolutely lives up to the hype. The atmosphere is very nostalgic, the crew is very helpful and polite, and the food was amazing. My family tried the collard greens sandwich, the fried bologna sandwich and the mama tried burger. The start of the show was the fried bologna sandwich but the collard green sandwich was a very close second. The burger was tasty as well. If you are in the area, I recommend giving it a try!”

“It might not look pretty from the photo but this sandwich packed a ton of flavor. This was the last stop on our trip to New Orleans and what a better way to end it than with a Po Boy. I have watched a bunch of videos on this place so I was excited to finally be here in person. It has a ton of character and it feels like a real treat for the area. I was initially going to order the standard shrimp po boy until I saw the James Brown. Although not traditional, it seemed like a crazy delicious concoction so I figured why not give it a shot!So, the James Brown blew away my expectations! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and it was still very juicy even though it was fried. I noticed it had a lighter fry so you get the best of both worlds with that crunchy exterior and the meaty shrimp interior. It was quite a surprise how good the shrimp was by itself, but I cannot forget that slow cooked BBQ beef. That beef was flavorful and oh so tender! The combination of the slow cooked BBQ beef and the shrimp was out of this world. Words can't explain how good this was so you will have to try it for yourself!Even the small sandwich was quite filling so bring your appetite when you come here. They also have plentiful amounts of seating indoors and outdoors so you should be able to grab a spot before the crowds hit. We had arrived right at open a few minutes before the gate opened, but there were already a few other people waiting too. I think that goes to show the reputation of this place and the quality of food they are cranking out!”

Paul, our server and his support, were exceptional - professional, super-friendly, incredibly polite, and could easily work in the best restaurants in the world. The food was a delight, starting with fresh hot biscuits that we couldn't stop eating. The pork belly appetizer was demolished, so we had to order a second. Great wine selection, delicious fish entrees, followed by chocolate mousse and creme brule for dessert. An overall culinary experience worth repeating.”

“Ok. Visited from south Florida on a couples weekend getaway. and after looking through reviews I came across Cane and Table.Alright, brunch on Saturday was quite amazing! First off, with the service – it was seriously on point. You could tell the staff were genuinely enjoying service to us, which made the whole vibe very welcoming. Our server was MC, and chatting with her and the Host about the menu and small talk felt like shooting the breeze with friends – no stiff vibes, just good ol' friendly chatter. Now, onto the drinks – they were awesome! Very well balanced drinks and such a variety of options which continued on setting the stage for a memorable brunch. And the food? Well, let's just say, even though the brunch menu wasn't overflowing with options, each dish was a pure winner. We shared a bit of everything among our couples of six, and everyone agreed that the flavors were so perfectly balanced. Take the French toast, for instance; it wasn't crazy sweet as one would expect, it was just so naturally balanced that it left us all in WOW. Overall, it was a great brunch experience, and if you're on the hunt for a spot with awesome service and flavors then this place is definitely worth a visit! It checks off the vibe”

“The looks of the food does no justice. You have to actually try their food. Living in a world with so much inflation and bad unhealthy food, I left here feeling like I received my monies worth. I ate half my plate and I had energy to do other activities afterwards. I walked the French Quarter and didn’t feel tired. “Wooooo this place is GOOD. We had a date night (with our sleeping infant) while on a trip to NOLA. The staff was very accommodating of our baby, and welcomed us warmly. The food was fantastic. “Nice little sushi place. Pricey for the portions. Portions are very small, the presentation on the sushi was plain. Single sushi orders had a better presentation. The rice bowls had a good portion and presentation. Everything we tried was very good. The spicy sushi we tried was not at all spicy but was good. The salmon belly was really good and I recommend this highly. I was not highly impressed with the whole experience because I left hungry and would not return here for a second trip. The sushi portions are very small.”
