“Hidden away across the street from Bass Pro Shop is this hidden gem of a eatery that has an interesting twist on Asian cuisine. Offering both bowled and burrito-fied sushi. As someone who loves a good sushi roll I thought I'd give it a shot. The staff were incredibly friendly and even went the extra mile explaining a few good recommendations after I told them I've never been and didn't know where to start. I picked up a dyno bowl (which is normally a burrito but they said it could be made a bowl.) Topped it with eel sauce, sat down and dug in.It literally tasted like a massive sushi roll and I loved ever bite of it. And will definitely cone back again to get another fill someday. So if you're looking for a casual setting that sports good sushi-type hybrid food, look no further.“
“Just visited this restaurant and I'm rating it a solid 4/5. The clear soup had an unexpected twist, maybe a hint of teriyaki, which was a unique. The Marilyn MoRoll was a hit. A special shoutout to our server Haley, she was fantastic, especially considering we had four young boys in tow. Her patience and kindness was great.“
“The service was very welcoming. I like that you can customize your fried rice to not have egg in it. I was told they make everything fresh once it’s ordered. I thought I took a picture of the vegetable fried rice, spring rolls, and hibachi noodles. Maybe next time I will take pictures.“
“Had lunch here mid week. Great and friendly service. Side salad went a bit heavy on the dressing, you could easily cut it by half. It was nearly salad soup ? Main entree was pretty good, though it depended a little heavily on sauce that seemed to lightly drown out everything else. Really though, typical hibachi and if you are into that sort of experience there is nothing wrong with coming here.“
“The place is really nice, super clean, warm and cozy. I’ve been here couple times and they never disappoint me. The tall white waiter guy work there he’s extremely nice, respectful, greeted you on the way in and out. I’ll definitely coming back. I’d hope you guys business successful. Happy New Year.“
“We come here to get boba tea a couple of times a month. It is always good. Clean with quick service. Staff is always very nice. Thai Tea with Coffee jelly... try it. The Banana Milk Tea delicious. My 13 year old loves the strawberry fruit Tea with strawberry popping bubbles.“
“1st time ever ordered from here.1. Loved the we're open Easter!2. Sweet and sour chicken was actually cooked thru and crispy!3. Most significant is the General Tso's chicken! I ordered extra spicy, and this is quite definitely the sinus clearing, taste buds burning, lips a blazing tastiest I have ever had!!!!!“
“This is my 3rd time ordering from this restaurant and each experience has been absolutely wonderful. The lady at the front counter is so very kind, welcoming and helpful! Her smile is literally contagious! If looking for hibachi in the Baton Rouge area this is definitely the place to go!!“
“I just tried it tonight. I absolutely loved it. The sushi was so great, the sushi (fish part) taste so fresh. Not like something you just got out of the ocean. I have ate at a lot of sushi places around here, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, & etc,With my husband. He likes sushi but is not crazy like I am for it.. But tonight he was impressed with the sushi at this restaurant tonight & I’ve never heard him say the fish tasted fresh & I liked it. I was impressed with the portion sizes too. My son loved his hibachi & his dad too. My dad enjoyed his meal. Now if only yall can serve alcohol, mostly the Japanese plum wine and sake. That would be great. My son enjoyed the fried cheese cake too. Im really impressed. Please never close. I will be back. The presentation of the food is pretty too! I didn’t get pictures of my meals, due my son wanting to walk around. Staff is friendly too! And it would be helpful for us mom’s for a changing stations in both gender’s bathroom, because dad’s can change diapers too! But otherwise great place I will be back for sure! Keep up with the excellent food!“
“If you're looking for a small, quiet place to eat sushi. This is the place to go! It's always the same staff working when I go. Which is great because it makes the experience better. Personally I would recommend trying the spicy seaweed salad. It's a nice mix of crab, seaweed, and cucumber. Best appetizer they have. My favorite roll is the fire mountain roll. It's wonderful. Definitely consider giving this place a try!“
“I’ve known about Hello Sushi but never made it there. On a whim wife and went this past weekend and we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic and the quality of the sushi rolls were excellent. Will definitely return and hopefully soon.“
“Best sushi in town in Baton Rouge! The sushi is delicious, not too strong and not too bland. And the salmon and tuna is thick and fresh. Service is excellent, the food came in no time. Very recommended place to get a fresh sushi, much better than instant sushi you get in other restaurants.Dietary restrictions: No pork“
“I always get the LSU Roll! I haven’t tried many sushi places in Baton Rouge because they’re the best I’ve had. I normally have to order ahead for lunch (at least 30min) and it’s sooo good every time. No dine-in options available, but it’s so good it normally doesn’t make it out of the parking lot.“
“Food is hit or miss depending on the time of day or day of the week. More fresh food when its busy and they refill the buffet trays more often. But its harder to get crawfish or crabs when its busy, people get greedy and pile up their plates. Sushi bar is average at best. Seating is good, lots of TVs and always a good place to watch LSU or Saints football games, NBA games.“
“A real hidden gem. My go to sushi restaurant. The owners are there every day and have been for as long as I remember. I've never had an issue with anything from asahi. I recommend them over any other sushi place in baton rouge or surrounding areas.“
