“Wow, where to begin! My family of five is on vacation from Detroit, MI and we had just gone on an airboat tour when we googled local restaurants. We landed on this gem, Jae Flem. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we were well taken care of with the utmost hospitality. And the food!! Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. The fish, chicken, shrimp, Mac n cheese, and especially the crab cakes were all spectacular. Plus, the dessert! Do yourself a favor and check this place out.”

“This place was absolutely amazing. I had the brisket sandwich and had to remove some of the brisket off because there was as do much of it on the sandwich. Also ordered the cheese grits which were delicious. To go I ordered a link of their smoked brisket Boudin and I will be returning to Gonzo's because of this item. I've never had anything like it. Didn't taste anything like boudin but it tasted glorious. The burnt ends looked amazing but person in front of me ordered last lb.”

“Went in to learn more about their Wed. Night steak night. What cut of steak was available, what comes with the steak, total cost, and of course how to order. Learned easy to order, etc. So followed through, and I am happy to say the steak and other items, cook very well, and considering inflation the total meal was not a bad price.”

The online menu categories are highly incorrect. Otherwise extremely friendly staff. The staff here a very respectful and polite. The food here is a can't miss!!(unless you order online) Try it out! “Small quaint bakery in the medical plaza. Microwaved bacon, but loaded on the sandwich. Croissant was one of the best I've ever had! And the muffins are delicious! Biscuit was perfection”

“OMG .... This is definitely a place everybody should stop and have a burger from. The flavor is amazing and they have chili Fritos dressed with lettuce tomato and mayo... At first I was kind of like I don't know about that Mayo but that the middle of that first bite! OMG that's all I can think of now lol , that's some good stuff... “Thursday is Steak night at Vic's and it is a feast. The steak is grilled to perfection and barely leaves room on the plate for the baked potato and corn on the cob. Talk about delicious. Great Service with a smile in a down home atmosphere. Plus bread pudding with a choice of two sauces. VERY TASTY.”

“You do not go to Waffle House for the atmosphere. It is the food that brings people in. Waffle House makes the best comfort food. I have not found a restaurant in this chain that has been a disappointment where food is concerned. The people working in the store in Mathews, Louisiana, make it fun, in addition to the good food.”

Addition: We went here recently, - twice in 2 weeks with different groups. Excellent selections and service.Parking: There are several spaces In front of the restaurant but they are a little tight there’s plenty of parking around the side and in the back.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance and the inside is ramped for easy access. There are 2 steps at the rear of the buffet, but an alternate route is available to go to and from the buffet and the bathrooms.”

“When I was a kid/teen in the 60's and 70s, this was a bait shop/bar with gas pumps out front. Dad and I would stop every time we went hunting or fishing down toward Lake Bouef. Great memories.”

“Been there once before while on a motorcycle ride with my boyfriend, didnt get to really meet anyone at that time. Went yesterday afternoon (02/27/19.) Met two of the nicest, coolest, funniest chicks, whom just happened to have been the most awesome bartender's this side of Raceland. They werent just buttering up for tips, they were truly genuine. This place has a great local atmosphere, with downhome feel, like you've been going there for much of your adult life, or that you grew up with the locals. Kudos to Ms. Christina and Ms. Meghan! (Sorry ladies, if i misspelled your names.) This is a most visit if you're out and about in the Raceland or surrounding areas!”

“This local bar seems to be a lot regulars, laughing, visiting and playing pool. When we arrived there were about a dozen or more people there, but there was no music playing. Whenever the jukebox did play, it was loud enough to enjoy the music without having to shout to be heard. There was no food available for sale, but we are told the owner sometimes brings in food for the games. They do have TVs with sports, but don't show pay per view events. Their game day special is said to be a $1 beer each time the Saints score. Our bartender Dara was sweet and very welcoming. We didn't see any beers on tap, but bottles weren't expensive. The place wasn't fancy at all, but it was clean. There was plenty of lot parking.”
