Pricing is a bit high, but it's made up for by service, cleanliness, and the amount of food. Plus, the bathrooms are always available.“

“We arrived on a Thursday night about an hour before close and didn’t have to wait for a table, even though the staff were clearly handling a bustling front of house. Our server was helpful in selecting wine and we absolutely LOVED the roasted carrots and cornmeal brioche with caramelized onion butter. I’m drooling just thinking about these small plates.Oh yea, the pizza was some of the best wood fired pies I’ve had in awhile, both in restaurant and as late night leftovers the next night.Although the food and vibes seemed upscale, the casual attire and kindness of the staff made it feel warm and welcoming.“

“We came for dinner as a family of four adults. We were seated outdoors which was really beautiful. Our waiter, Hunter was fantastic offering suggestions and great tips for first time visitors to NOLA. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Would recommend.Vegetarian of our party were vegetarian. “Incredible food. Most dishes are appropriately small so it encourages sharing and a family-style approach. Pizzas are really something else and the pastas are to die for. Really great choices in wines, and although the price tags arent low, it is worth it.“

“Great food! My wife and I recently visited New Orleans and rode the trolley cars around. When we got hungry we got off and walked here. It has a cool local feel and is much quieter than downtown NOLA. The shrimp remoulade was an awesome appetizer! We also enjoyed the Creole shrimp and the fried softshell crab. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. We had a great time! Definitely recommend!“

“Pizza Delicious truly lived up to its name, it was a yummy! We had a fantastic time seated outside, where the ambiance was just perfect. My son was particularly enchanted by a rooster that roams around, whom I believe is named Hanes. As for the pizza, it was delicious! We'll definitely be back!“

“My colleagues (5 of us) and I had a great meal here. We came by on a Sunday night at 8pm and we were able to sit immediately. The Jungle Bird cocktail was delicious, as were the pizzas we tried. The dough was perfectly chewy and charred. We had a lemon dessert that was delicious The hazelnut dessert stole the show, so creamy and rich.“

“We found this place on the internet, wnating some NOLA-style sausage and wanting to escape the culinary tedium that often accomanies a jaunt in the Quarter. We delighted with our find! The owners, the friendly Vaucresson family, shared stories of their three generation production and serving of sausages, such as crawfish (it's great!), green onion, chicken, and, my favorite, spicy creole. By the way, the boudin balls and onion rings were darned good too. The new deli and sausage factory is obviously new, so the place is sparkling clean and bright. Yes, we took two pounds of plister pack sausages home to Atlanta, to remember our fun discovery.Parking: Free.“

Exceptional customer service. 1pm on Thursday, driving down St. Charles passing the time until I needed to be some place, passed this little gem and decided to pop in. I was immediately greeted and sat by Mr. Otis. Promptly bringing water. Mr. Georgio informed me of the availability of fresh softshells, and took my order. Sitting by the window watching the beautiful streetcars going up and down St. Charles. There was a few people in the restaurant but it was a whole vibe. Meal was fantastic. I watch a sweet older couple ask Mr. Georgio about the street car, he walked the couple across the street and give instructions on what to do. Absolutely suggest taking the time to visit. Two guests, appetizer, 2 lunch specials, water and tea bill was in the mid $60s without tip.“

“Tony Mandina's has been around for a long time. There is a reason for it. It is still a friendly family owned restaurant. Any restaurant with the owner's sitting at the table in the front with a welcoming smile and under their watchful eye is has great chance of being great.“

“My wife I are New Orleanians. We know good food. The food in this restaurant is exceptionally delicious. The prices are reasonable too and we were greeted and treated with respect and kindness. We rarely eat out anymore because of health reasons so it was a nice outing. Thanks to all who contributed to our dining experience.“

“Serving as one of the only known Halal pizza joints I know of in the area, this spot serves a meat lovers with a beef pepperoni, beef sausage, and more! Super fire pizza and worth the drive from BR each time. Place not much to look at being off Bourbon but the staff is super friendly. If you are looking to do a quick grab and go I would order ahead so it's ready by the time you get there.“

“Weekday lunch in this unassuming Italian restaurant. In a strip mall - you'd almost never see it - but apparently well known, because it was reasonably busy, and there was a Barbie themed birthday party going on in the back. So good for groups, and larger than it appears from outside. Claudette was exceptional with keeping our drinks full, updated on our food and giving advice/information as requested. Food came out quickly, not that we were noshing on the great bread provided. Husband had a couple of Maker's Mark drinks ($11 ea), the Daube ($22), which was outstanding, and I'm not a big meat eater, and I opted for the Garlic Butter Pasta (Con Aglio E Burro) ($13) with spinach and cherry tomatoes. I LOVE that you can order the pasta as is, or add your choice of meats. Portions were perfect - almost no leftovers. Added a serving of spumoni ($4) for dessert and we were in and out in about 45 min. Definitely a go-to spot for us in the future.“

“First of all the food was insanely good. The pasta was so fresh and the texture was giving handmade in the restaurant with that firm chewiness. I had the Black Pepper Fettucine with the Puttanesca. It actually packed a decent kick and the taste was really good as well. All the ingredients came through in the sauce and it tasted amazing and wasn’t a huge ding on the wallet.Most pleasant part of the night was the worker overhearing it being one of our party’s birthdays. They surprised us with a cute complimentary cannoli which was so thoughtful and kind.The decor inside is also so cute and nerdy/film buff coded. “We read that Avo was the best Italian restaurant in New Orleans. That was the reason we chose Avo. We were not disappointed. Calamari was delicious, short rib Marsala was fork tender & the sauce was amazing. Shell pasta with pork/beef bolognese was like mama’s. I would definitely recommend Avo if anyone were to ask for where to go for Italian. Our server was also friendly & charming, so appreciative of our comments.“

“Today with my daughter for the first time I visited this restaurant in my neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products that are produced in this restaurant by the owner himself and many other workers to prepare to go orders. The quality of the food is Supreme, and the prices are extremely affordable, I could even say cheap.“

“My wife and I have really grown to love the Metairie Carrabba’s. When it originally opened years ago, we went once and were not impressed so despite leaving nearby we never went back. A friend mentioned it maybe 6-months ago and she swore it was pretty good so we gave it another chance and we are glad we did. We now maybe go 3 times or so a month. We had one problem with a server lately and I asked for a manager and Blake promptly solved the issue and took care of us the rest of the night. The food has always been very good, the service pretty quick and the bar service very good too. Our two favorite servers are Mel and Sara but with the exception of that one night the service has always been great too. I recommend Carrabba’s for a dinner for two or a small group of friends. Their “wine dinners” are also a hit for us. It’s nice to have somewhere close to home that you know is rock solid on the food & service. Thanks to Blake and his team!“

“they have great food, the best roast beef po boy I've ever had. I also really like the chicken parmesan and the veal parmesan. the plates come with salad vegetable and bread very large portions. it is definitely worth the drive if you do not live in the neighborhood. they also have a nice selection of beers in the cooler“

“BRICK OVEN PIZZA! I know it says wood fired, but when I searched for “brick oven pizza” in NO, nothing popped up. Absolutely AMAZING seafood pizza. Cannot recommend enough. Would have bought another but had no viable way of getting it back to Dallas. As you can see I ate 1/2 of it before realizing I should take a pic to post. Our waitress Stacy? was very accommodating (as well the chef) as my wife has crazy food allergies and she was able to eat all of her without breaking out. Definitely returning next time I’m in NOLA.“

“I really wish I could remember our server's name he was fantastic. An average height guy with a pony tail and goatee. Walked in without a reservation and the hostess was super nice and got us a table outside. The waiter was great at explaining the soup of the day and my daughter loves it. It was a beef stew. I got the pollo pizza and my partner got the margarita and they were both on point. I love the crispy crust. Overall a great experience.“

“We were fortunate to get a recommendation to this hidden gem on Frenchman from a local artist. There is literally about ten tables, and they don't take reservations, so I it's recommended to get there when they open. For an appetizer, we ordered the mussels. They were delicious! For entrees, we had the steak special with Ocean Sauce (creole based) and the Veal Ocean (veal, crabmeat, crawfish, and capers) in a croele sauce ---literally couldn't stop eating it! Did not order dessert, but observing from other nearby tables, it looked outstanding! It was one of the top meals we had while visiting! Highly recommend!“

“Sorry, no pictures....Everytime I visit this place, the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. We ordered an 18in pizza, half meat lovers, and half supreme. 12 wings half garlic butter half sweet chili, I believe. The garlic butter ones were not tasty but wasnt nasty. It was not enough seasoning, just tasted like butter. Had cheese sticks also. FYI, if you are getting pizza, try and order ahead unless you dont mind sitting and waiting at least 30 mins for a regular and 45 to an hour for a deep dish.“

“First time at the new location and it was great. There were 6 of us and the orders were taken quickly, the food came out quickly, and the service was on point. We had a fried shrimp platter, 2 shrimp poboys, a roast beef poboy, a hot sausage poboy, lasagna and an order of onion rings. All were spectacular! I usually go to the one in Terrytown but would definitely go to this one again.“

“Wonderful pasta dishes. And very cool concept of "build your own". We'll be back to get sauce as take out. What we actually had was the "lasagna". Not really lasagna but wide papardelle with sauce, sausage, and cheese. Yummy. And the lemon shrimp linguini, not strongly flavored but good. The only strange thing was the staff vibe; competent and professional, but cool to the point of cold. It's NOLA, people smile here yall:-)“

The dessert i had i cannot remember the name but had strawberry, chocolate, and pistachio ice cream with cookie crust, not good. The ice cream looked and tasted more like a sorbet, ok flavor. My husband had the beet salad which he liked.“

Small homestyle local Gio’s is a family-run pizzeria that will redefine your pizza standards.We had a meat pizza in the shop and I took home a Magharitta pizza which my kid loved. We also tried their meatballs and they were bomb ?The pizza crust is thin and crunchy. Most pizzas run at a $20 fee for the same 8-slice pie.What makes or breaks a pizza for me? “I have passed this restaurant a few times and always wanted to try it. Last night I finally did. I was fist very impressed with the staff, everyone was so friendly and attentive(rare these days). I am Italian, so it is hard to find a place that is better than grandma’s home cooking, as well as my own. I must say, we ordered the Italian salad, chicken and Alfredo, the chicken parm and the filet. Hats OFF to the Chef!!!! This is the baseline place you go to when you’re all partied out and just need a good, classic and affordable slice of pizza. “This place was GREAT! It's different than what I have ever experienced. Sicilian and Creole? Alright. Pleasantly surprising lunch spot. You have to stand in line to order and pay, then they bring you the food. Don't let this deter you. They give you HUGE portions. Try the mac and cheese with red gravy (a lovely marinara) - it's brilliant! The gumbo was PACKED with shrimp, have never seen anything like it gumbo-wise. Ate leftovers from lunch twice! YUM!“

“We wandered here to find a bite to eat as my colleagues and I are in the area for a sustainability conference. We tried to get into a sports bar but it was packed. Luckily I walked by here and saw it on my way to the hotel where the conference will be. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, it was really delicious, it came with 6 pieces of perfectly toasted bread that wasn't too heavy. My colleagues got side ceasars, looked really good. Nice portions. We ordered a large classic pizza, with a pesto tortellini to share, it was all really well done. Delicious, hot, and we never needed anything because our server was on top of it. We had someone else helping run food as well, Both were excellent. I have a sneaking suspicion we may be back because all of the food at this conference is vegan. Sorry I took no photos, but when the food came out it was so damn good. Support small businesses!“

“Fabulous Fish! Ordered catfish dinner - perfectly fried catfish filets sitting on hot, buttered French bread, with deliciously creamy potato salad, served with both tartar and cocktail sauces. The dinner comes with a mid-sized green salad. The blue cheese dressing was nice. There was enough food for two meals. The fish had a clean, fresh taste and arrived hot. It was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised by how well-cooked the food was. Ambiance and location are completely secondary to the quality of the food. It is clean, comfortable, and unassuming. The waitstaff was very pleasant and accommodating.“

“This was my first time at Mr Ed's in Bucktown. Fortunately we arrived before the dinner crowd and were able to get a table right away. By the time we left the place was getting packed. Our waitress was a little distracted, even before the crowds came so don't know what that was about but we all have a bad day.I ordered the stuffed bell peppers and although they weren't huge in size... man were they stuffed to the gills with tasty seafood. These were not stuffed peppers mostly with breading.Definitely plan on stopping again next time I'm in New Orleans to try their chicken liver dinners, one of my favorites and very hard to find.“
