Ma-La chicken is my favorite they also have a great hot and sour soup. Portions are large. Price has gone up since January but overall still our go to spot.

Not sure how "Gourmet" gets all those great reviews. Yes the prices are fair but the workers are awfully rude and disrespectful!I'd given them a few chances before, and never really enjoyed the food.. but today was the last straw. I went in to get lunch for a coworker --I had not one, but TWO of the women raise their voice at me, basically yelling argument over something they misheard when I was ordering (in a line full of people, mind you). Terribly disrespectful and uncalled for. I'm sure their management - if any - wouldn't care about my experience, so I'm just posting it for others to beware what this place is like before spending your money here.Needless to say, I'm never going back.BE NICE to people!! Especially paying customers.

Might be the best Chinese place to get 2-3 item combo plates. It’s most likely the cheapest, fastest, and gives you the most food in a to-go plate container in the Houma area. I always get noodles instead of fried rice with coconut chicken, black pepper chicken, honey chicken, Mongolian beef, or sesame chicken. I think they stopped “dine-in” since Covid so you just have to order your food and do “take out”. It’s set up like Subway style so you tell the employee what you want, and they packed it for you. When you want quick and cheap Chinese food, this is the place to go! Make sure to check their hours before going because they close randomly. Call in advance to make sure they’re operating.

This is a Chinese take out similar to the ones that were popular in the 1970's and 80's. I saw these start to fade away in when the buffets took over. The food was good. There is no need for atmosphere because you do not eat there. They make about 8 dishes a day and that is your choice with white rice or fried rice. They do have egg rolls and soup.

Best plate of food for your money. They pack you up with some delicious noodles (or rice) and up to 3 different types/ flavors of chicken or beef. The egg rolls and soups are very good too! I have been going there for a while and will continue to do so!

Great food and very affordable!! Take-out only so not much for atmosphere -- but it doesn't change the value you get!!

5 stars because the staff is friendly, efficient, and very generous with their portions. Their prices went up, but it makes sense with inflation, and the increase was very reasonable. My favorites are the black pepper chicken and the general tso. My husband loves the teriyaki, and my son can't get enough of their lo mein.
