Crabby Jacks was recommended to us by the visitor center in New Orleans, we would have never gone there without the recommendation, since it didn't look that great from the outside, the food was great, large portions, reasonable prices.
My sister and I ordered a late lunch from Crabby Jack’s based on her recommendation. She raved about the shrimp platter. I ordered the shrimp platter and to my surprise it was popcorn shrimp. I had expected butterfly shrimp. Anyway, it was tasty and well-seasoned. I had enough leftover to eat the following day. I also wanted a vegetable side that wasn’t fried. I had an informal gathering in Audubon Park for about 15 people. Knowing about Crabbies I ordered shrimp po-boys, potato salad, and bread pudding in advance. When I picked it up all was ready with food and all necessary utensils. The food was as good as I remembered, sandwiches overflowing with perfectly fried shrimp. I was happy to share a New Orlean’s culinary treat with my out of town guests.
