“*MUST TRY*So good!! We’ve passed this place many times & decided to try it this morning. I got a boudin kolache with a chocolate glazed donut & my fiancé got two sausage kolaches & a strawberry milk. It was all only $12!!! My donut was so soft & not too sweet at all! Our kolaches were just as soft! So flavorful and yummy. I’m really picky about my boudin and this one was really yummy. Great service!!“

“My very favorite doughnut spot! The prices are great, their honeydew smoothie is the most amazing thing you will ever try & their maple bacon doughnuts are the bomb! They always throw you a little something extra in the bag. They are cheerful, helpful, quick & customer service is out of this world 100% recommend! “They have boba tea and it's fantastic! The menu is very large and offers a great variety. They even have noodle bowls and sandwiches for lunch. I went for breakfast and got a boba tea and some donut holes. I have zero complaints and will definitely be back. Even the ladies working were super friendly and nice.“

Im a trucker and I go nearly everywhere in this country and I have not had the level of quality donut, kolaches, and others types of products than the ones I get from here. They have been my goto since they opened In 2012 when they were across from subway on 171. Now theyre on their own property and the owner is still the only in the bakery making sure the quality remains. Friendly man with a deep concern for his patrons and giving them the best donut no matter the rise in costs. He told me he still pays for the best supplies even though his profits are slimmer but he doesn't want to let his customers down.I been a loyal patron since hs and still look forward to it.“
“When I moved to Lake Charles, and asked for donuts Shipley's was the first place people spoke highly about, and I can certainly see why after going a few times. Today I went and ordered a bearclaw, a bullseye, a glazed donut, a sausage and cheese kolache, and a Thai tea. Starting with the weakest, the sausage and cheese kolache: so flavorless and forgettable, way bready, barely any cheese, and the sausage is subpar. Just overall very forgettable, not bad, just bland. Next the donuts, I almost never get a bearclaw, but I really enjoyed it, I believe they warm up the donuts right before they serve them which definitely helps with the whole experience. Thirdly, the bullseye, a donut I've never seen at any other donut place, and I 100% recommend it, it's basically a chocolate glazed donut, sprinkles, and instead of the hole in the middle, it is a small bowl filled with cream. I don't want to look up the nutritional facts of it, but it is something I have ordered before and will order again. Finally, in my opinion the best surprise is their Thai tea. I used to frequent a Thai restaurant in Atlanta specifically for their Thai tea and it was one of the many things I missed after moving away; however the Thai tea there is so similar and delicious, I would go to Shipley's just for their Thai tea. My only complaint, if I could nitpik it, is I wish it had less ice, but also was colder, like I'd prefer if maybe it was premade in a cold fridge? But the fact that they make it fresh to order is a charm of it though.TLDR: Great donuts and Thai tea, don't recommend their kolaches but not bad. 5* I will be back!“

“I had a chocolate cake donut as cake donuts are my fav however not all donut shops have goooood cake donuts! It was so moist and the chocolate actually tasted like chocolate i also had Bavarian cream donut omgggg! It was hands down delicious! I love donuts i wish this place was open 24/7…“
“I sent them a FB message at 10pm the night before I needed letter donuts for my daughters birthday morning! They messaged back quickly and were so nice. Her donuts were ready at 5:30 a.m. and she was so excited when she woke up! Would definitely recommend!“
