Let me tell you, I travel for work and I've eaten all over Louisiana. This is one of my new favorite places. I had the Wednesday special which was fried catfish with some kind of delicious rice dressing & fried jumbo shrimp, can't forget the potato salad whew. It'll hurt you, it was soo savory, buttery, rich, flavorful.. It was what I needed after a long day at work and bein hungry. It really makes me wanna pass out because it was soo filling and tasty. It was closer to $20 because of the small fee for using a credit card. However it was worth it and I'll definitely be stopping back by. I even couldn't resist the dessert selection they had behind the glass. I saw sweet potato cake and it looked and sounded good, called my woman and we said let's do it.So whoever is hungry and looking for a place that'll make you forget you were hungry, come here!
My family and I were hoping for some authentic, local cajun creole food before we left Louisiana. We searched for a spot along the way and found Leonard’s, and we are SO GLAD we did!!! We tried the boudin, New Orleans fries, gumbo, fried shrimp PoBoy, fried pork chop PoBoy, the BBQ beef baked potato, and crawfish etouffee, and we LOVED all of it!! Not a single complaint. The staff was so friendly and patient. The food was incredibly fast for such a large order, and most importantly the food was delicious. 100/10, would definitely recommend!!!
Today my family and I decided to go to Leonard’s for lunch. However after witnessing the cashier treat a customer whose son is autistic get treated horribly we left. The customer tried explaining to her that her son has a disability and stimming is apart of his disability. She told her “he can’t do that in here!” Being that I have two autistic grandsons I took this very personal because that could’ve been us . It cost nothing to be kind and patient with people.

I stopped in here with a friend for an early supper on a Wednesday night. There wasn't a line so we were able to order at the counter right away. I ordered the Smothered Beef Tips with Rice, Gravy, Garlic Bread and Green Beans. It was served in a styrofoam to-go box even though we were dining in. I soon realized why. The portions were very large. Neither one of us could finish our food. We brought about half of it home and there was conviently a place to grab a plastic grocery bag to bag our boxes up on the way out. The Rice, Gravy and Garlic Bread were delicious, but the Tips were a tad on the dry side and the Green Beans were stringy and did not have enough salt in them so I had to bury them in the Gravy to eat them. I did enjoy the bits of sausage that were added to Green Beans though. I would go back, but I would definitely order a different side.
We ordered the potato with steak (it was a giant portion) and the shrimp poboy. Both were delicious. Would definitely come back and recommended this place to anyone looking for great food.

We spent a few days in Sulphur and Leonard’s was recommended to us, so we gave it a shot. The chicken & sausage gumbo I got Friday evening caused diarrhea for me the remainder of the weekend and our stay in Sulphur. Unfortunately we were unable to try other recommended restaurants in the area that we were really looking forward to due to this event. ☹️
