One of my favorite restaurants. Food is always good, best of employees who make you feel welcome, and clean.Parking is sometimes difficult at lunch because everyone love it here.
Can't say enough good things about this place. Service is excellent, atmosphere is awesome, the biscuits delectable, the sausage delicious, and the coffee is wonderful. Only regret, I don't live near here.

This place has the best home cooked meals. Everything from delicious omelets, hamburger steak and gravy to meatloaf (with red or brown gravy) and mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak to bread pudding. The staff is always friendly and go the extra mile. It's like being home with family. You can dine inside or on the patio out front or call in your order and pick up at the window.

We took our pups here with us for lunch. The patio out front is very nice with large tables and plenty of shade. Food was excellent, big portions even for the appetizers. Our server was wonderful. She took great care of us as well as our K-9 companions. Definitely recommend!

Overall, it was a great experience. The place had a relaxed, southern draw, and felt very welcoming. The servers were kind and on top of their service duties, and they had a very pleasant demeanor about them. The food was flavorful, and you receive plenty of food for how much you pay.
We had a great experience here. The chicken and sausage gumbo was so good (we are so picky when it comes to gumbo, we don't like all those onions in there. There wasn't many and it was delicious!) We also ordered a hamburger and shrimp poboy. We had to take it to go because we were full from the gumbo. Our waitress Kari was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and very sweet. I definitely want to come back for breakfast!
Excellent restaurant! Lots of choice, homemade and authentic cuisine, reasonable prices, a warm and family atmosphere, in short, a great discovery without pretension but very effective with excellent value for money! I

WOW! We feel like we must have stumbled across a local hot spot. This place has THE most amazing breakfast. The pancakes were PERFECTION. The biscuits were so fluffy & delicious. The bacon was thick & crispy. My friend had the steak with hers & she said it was great. My hubby loved the omelet & home fries. The prices are super reasonable. Parking can be a little tight & we had a short wait on a Saturday morning but it was totally worth it. The staff was very friendly & the service was outstanding. 10 out of 10, next time we’re in Lake Charles we’ll eat here again!

Very nasty and berating counter person. Spoke to me with a demeaning tone and never bothered to thank me for my order. The food is great; but there are other restaurants that give better service. They may be called “Southern Spice” but they certainly lack “Southern Hospitality!”
