Best dining experience I've had in a while. The quality of both service and food was spectacular! Our server was great and she gave me a suggestion for a sushi roll, the Tuna Tsurai, which I enjoyed. Another favorite from my dinner was the Kimchee Octopus salad and the white fish tuna that came with our tricolor sashimi. My partner's favorite was the scallops and thought the enoki mushrooms went well with it.Unfortunately I forgot our server's name, but believe it started with a D (Delene? Sorry!) She was fantastic. Richard the bartender made us fantastic drinks!!!The only thing that felt out of place were the many TVs in the restaurant. It didn't effect anything negatively at all but that stood out.I am excited to come back and eat more delicious sushi.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator

Wow, this was a nice surprise… expected a typical Japanese place, this was just amazing. Phenomenal menu, the best selection of sake and Japanese whiskey, and really nice jazz music playing lightly in the background.The menu was several pages long, lots and lots of sushi rolls (I don’t eat those but my girlfriend does)… the sushi is varied, and very fresh… and the prices are great!The one visit we made was wonderful, the service was a bit slow, but it was kind of busy.Parking: Parking lot is often full… parking in the back as well.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at Daiwa. It was our first time eating here, and we will most definitely be back. We were seated on the patio area. The atmosphere was romantic and quiet. It was perfect for a date night. All of the staff are very kind and attentive. Our server went above and beyond to make our night special. We had some Valentine's day cocktails, and they were so delicious. All of the food we tried was delicious too. We really enjoyed the shrimp gyoza.

There are so many amazing things to say about Daiwa. I love this place it's our families go to for special events and for high end affordable Japanese cuisine. Being a life long chef and restaurant operations manager I feel like I can speak from experience. They always have exciting things they have brought in from Japan. The bars cocktail program rivals and surpasses many of the best bars in the New Orleans area. Richard the bar manager is so talented it makes me jealous. Great sake selection as well. Came here on a recent date with my son after winning his battle with cancer. Had a great time. My son always asks to go to Daiwa. Can't even get him to go out for a burger ?. Thanks for always making us smile with the service and food. Cheers.

wish I could give more stars. Best sushi in the New Orleans area and some of the best I’ve had in my life (and I spent a month in Japan eating A LOT of sushi). Their spicy salmon puts any other place’s to shame… as does the bbq eel nigiri. sake and whiskey selection are unbeatable. Richard the bartender treats food & drink like art, and those dining in like family. He is half of why my friend and I love going every other week or so. as another regular at the bar put it a few visits ago last month: “this is my happy place”.
