Have never been to a place that is 2/3 empty with no line that first declines to seat us, then indicates if they do we would have a time limit. Sorry, what? Not sure if this was a freak incident or because it was two women eating out together. No worries though, we went to one of the really good, crowded Italian restaurants of New Orleans, spent big, and stayed as long as we wanted. I'd guess they are making more money. You don't have to tell me twice.

Been going here for decades, one of my favorite all time places ... I literally tell everyone I know that this is my favorite restaurant in metairie. Last night I wanted to take my parents and kids for dinner, I called to make a reservation knowing it was a Saturday. They refused to take a reservation for more than 4 people. ???!?!!?! Like what ?? Then we just go there and the hostess "Daniella" ? Basically tells me we don't take reservations and any 5 top I have will be over an hour. I ask why they would not take a reservation for more than 4 and she just shrugs almost smirking ....smdh this is not how you treat regulars ... Sadly my favorite restaurant in metairie is now on my do not bother list. And I will never be recommending this place again.

Everytime I come here, the food and service is amazing.
The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Our server was very pleasant and stayed on top of our needs. Highly recommend.If there is a downside,, the seating is tight. This was our group's first visit but certainly not our last.Parking: There isn't enough off street or on street parking available. Small lot fills quickly and you must park in other business's lots.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap entrance, but very tight seating.

Very good Italian food. We had to make reservations due to our party size. They put us in a nice cozy room which was perfect. The restaurant is not large and it is not exactly quiet. So a quiet romantic dinner may be out of the question. But, the food is really good. Service is great. We enjoyed this restaurant very much.

We went for dinner on a Friday night a couple years ago and we can’t stop coming back. All the food: appetizers, primi piatti, entrees and desserts, wine list and drinks are all first rate! The staff is warm and friendly and overall, this is a charming, delicious place we feel welcomed and always enjoy immensely. They maintain a very high food and service standard consistently. I have to put an extra plug in for the pasta carbonara (usually order with chicken). I ordered it offhand once and it blew me away, unbelievably delicious sauce and prepared perfectly. I had a weeklong business trip to Rome in April 2023, and learned that pasta carbonara/I pepi is a Rome local specialty, so was super excited to try it there. I must say, Fausto’s carbonara makes the pasta ai pepi and carbonara in even the fanciest restaurants in Rome look like child’s play. Go get some!

Went here for a work meeting. The chicken Parmesan was delicious. Portion size was fair for the price. The server wasn't nice, therefore if I went back I wouldn't dine in. I think take out would be a better experience.
