“My Fiance and I heard about this restaurant through one of my co-workers. I was afraid of being treated differently because of our age but that was NOT the case. We were treated like everyone else. We did go again about two weeks later because of how much we love the food, and we waited for 40 minutes before anyone paid attention to us, and we were the only people seated since it was a later reservation. HOWEVER, I do not believe in being rude on just misunderstandings. After getting attention of a hostess and not overreacting about it, our orders were immediately taken and our apps came to us within 10 minutes after. Our food was perfect separated out so we did not feel rushed, and the owner was more than generous with how he compensated our wait. I absolutely love this restaurant and WILL be returning. I cannot see why anyone wouldn't love the chef and his work. If you are planning on going, you have to try the deviled eggs and the scallops. And to the owner, please keep scallops on the menu for March 30th because I WILL be ordering them!“
“This is a place that my husband and I will always go! Every time we have company in town, we take them here. The service is great, the food is always amazing, and the overall atmosphere is very inviting (especially when they have music playing). 10/10 recommend the crawfish etoufffee over redfish and jalapeño cheddar grits. (It's to die for) The duck wraps are great, the cocktails and wine are always a great choice. Can't wait to visit again.“
“Me and my wife are die hard fans of this place. We were the first to have a rehearsal dinner here and it was immaculate as usual. “We went to Abuela's for the experience of having the robot deliver chips and salsa. The robot is pretty cool. The Vegetarian rice bowl is awesome. I loved the different vegetables in it. Grilled green and red peppers, grilled onions, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots. A lot of vegetables over rice. The house dressing is good too. The bowl is a great option if you want a nice bowl without any meat. The only bad thing I have to say is the back dining room where we were taken for a table was pretty dirty. The floors hadn't been swept and there was trash in the floor. Couple of tables not cleaned off. And there wasn't any reason for that dining area to not be cleaned. It wasn't busy back there and our waiter kept walking right past the mess. We ate lunch there on Valentines Day and it was totally different. There was fresh flowers on the tables. Balloons over the tables. Everything was clean. It was somewhat disappointing to go the next time and it was dirty. Hopefully it was just a fluke but when I mentioned it to the hostess she didn't act like she cared about the trash at all. I'll go again just because I like the vegetarian bowl but I'll sit in the front dining room. I'd go back for the chip/salsa delivering robot lol“

“I really enjoyed everything here. I had The Amigos meal and it was delicious! Number one, I'd like to thank them for putting enough cheese sauce on the meal. I hate it when I have to ask for more then you're charged for it. They got it right the first time. The dish consists of a bed of rice with chicken, shrimp, steak, and veggies ( onion, bell peppers and tomatoes) I opted not to have the steak on mine. Everything was seasoned well. I was not able to finish my food because of the margarita!!! It was so good. I had strawberry-mango mixed together. Ok then I had a shooter also but that's besides the point( shot of tequila inside a test tube)? They had some games playing on the TV which we loved as well. Good times, good people, good food, and ohhhh Brandon was our server and he was EVERYTHING!!! I shall return???“

“On my way home I stopped at The Fish House. Service was great, drink was cheap and strong, crawfish easily came out of the shells an had a kick, the server came by right when I wanted him to. Besides my clawdaddys recipe(duh) these are the best crawfish I’ve had all year. Thumbs up guys.“

“It has been a long time coming and wanting by many. I know a lot of people are extremely happy You guys FINALLY Brought back the Buffet. The staff was very nice upon entry and we were seated immediately. The buffet line wasn't crowded and the food was hot where it needed to be and cold with the other things. I had just 2 minor things and this was on the chicken for the sweet and sour and the chicken in the TSO...both items with chicken had very small pieces (almost just breading) and were very mushy... not big pieces and fried correctly.. it was almost like the chicken was steam cooked which made its taste not like it used to be.. We shall see how it goes...This was only the 2nd night open for the buffet since it's demise years ago...Thank you Peking for bringing it back..let's work on top notch and tastier food and you guys will go far“
“Catfish Cabin is one of the older restaurants in Monroe, and has been popular for good reason. Nothing fancy here, just good seafood. Can get catfish filets or the whole fish, fried to perfection, with the usual fries, okra, etc. Also have shrimp and a few other entrees. Good service, friendly staff, a real "down home" place to eat.“

“Love this casual warm inviting spot in downtown Monroe. Took my sister for her birthday after the Black History Parade. The rave reviews I'd heard were well deserved. I got Fried Catfish with Crawfish Ettouffee. My sister had Fried Dhrimp & Fried Oysters. My niece had chargrilled Oysters on the shell. Everything was delicious. Our server was great. Their outdoor dining patio is beautiful.“
