phenomenal food & service

What a wonderful place - great food, excellent service and intimate dining at it's best. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Warm Goat Cheese salad. For dinner, we had the Lowcountry Shrimp and Grits and the Chili rubbed Pork Chop. The chop was super tender and these were some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. For dessert, we had the Tres Leches Bread Pudding and the Pear & Ginger Empanadas. This meal has put Atchafalya at the top of my list!

This was a large party reservation for a birthday. The bar manager did not enforce covid protocols or ask for vaccination cards when sitting folks. We enjoyed the food and drinks a lot. The bar manager was bartending that night and I think our party size was fine at first but then they got overwhelmed because the last few guests to arrived waited 30 minutes for their first (and only) drinks. Salad, Brussels sprouts appetizers, and pork chop entree were all served before the cocktails which were ordered first.

Fried green tomatoes lacked flavor but the crab salad served with them made up for it...gumbo was excellent as well as the shrimp/grits, and the filet. The gulf fish curry was on point! Watermelon sorbet was great, and bread pudding was not bad at all. Overall the four of us enjoyed our meal and our time in the space!!

The food and service were both amazing! We requested to sit outside and basically sat on the sidewalk near the curb. I would request indoor seating or perhaps there is a patio somewhere that we did not see.

What a hidden GEM !!! This restaurant is a bit off the typical tourist path but highly worth the walk, Uber, taxi, drive, or borrow a bike and get over there. The ambiance is very cozy and welcoming. The owner welcomes you at the door and makes you realize how valued you are to their business. The wait staff is well versed in all aspects of the menu (which can change based on available ingredients). The food...oh, the food. Did I mention that the food is incredible. Order anything and you will be amazed....close your eyes and just point to something on the menu and you'll love it. DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT SOMEONE ORDERING THE BLUE CHEESE FLAN (I know, sounds strange but trust me on this one). My wife described it as orgas****!! Their bar selection is fantastic. The house made Grand Marnier is outstanding. So smooth and the aroma of peach is intoxicating. I could drink a beer stein filled with this stuff. This is the only restaurant that my wife and daughter kept talking about during the entire trip. They even considered driving the 7 hours from Atlanta just to spend a weekend in New Orleans so they can eat dinner and brunch and then drive back Sunday afternoon. Plan on a few hours eating and enjoying yourself with family and friends. It's more than a restaurant, it's a culinary evening event!!

The service is top notch and the food is an experience not to be passed up. Everything from the deviled egg to the shrimp and grits to the bread pudding was phenomenal!

This is definitely a New Orleans jewel! We had the best time along with outstanding dining and service. It seems effortless as to how wonderful everything was but I know they work very hard to deliver an impeccable experience! I am a foodie and this is one of my top two!
