Great beer and wonderful baked pretzels! The best, though, is the outdoor beer garden atmosphere. It is just so nice to come here. There is a group that gets together on Thursdays at 6:30pm to meet and speak in German. Very welcoming of all levels of German speaking!

What a fun and delicious place. I had a vegetarian brat, so good! And the pretzel and beer cheese were devine. Can't remember the name of the beer I had, but it was good too. Nice atmosphere outside on the patio, and dog friendly.

As someone who regularly visits Germany, this is the closest I've had in the States. Also some options with a NOLA flair. Definitely worth checking out, and a great outdoor Beer Garden to boot.

The most authentic German restaurant you will find in the south. The food is amazing I lived in Germany for 4 years and this is the closest I can get to it right here in the south. The German beer is on point. The staff are amazing and the live music beer hall is awesome. Prices are the best for the beer and food can’t beat it.

It's sad to see any negative reviews. Most without much details, makes me wonder if some competitors are trying to torpedo them? Or maybe just unreasonable out-of-towners?? Whichever, don't you mind them! We really enjoy going to Bratz Yall and bring our out of town family and friends here all the time. Never had a bad experience.I want to specifically say that the Bavarian pretzel king cakes with Bavarian cream is the best Damn king cake in nola (spent the better part of 3 decades in our beloved city and have tasted them all). I picked up my 3rd of the season today - see photos. They don't last 2 days in my household.I literally dream about these king cakes all year and devour them when carnival season arrives. If you haven't had one yet, you must try one!Love this place!!!

German food was not what I expected from New Orleans. This place is Amazing! Good beer in a liter or half liter mug. Good music in the beirgarden. If you are here on a weekend, get the pork shank. It is big enough to share if you are willing, but it is good enough to keep eating every bit of slow roasted the deep fried deliciousnesss. They had a "sexy veggie sausage" my wife ordered that was shocking respectable in flavor and texture. If we are back in New Orleans, will head out to Bywater again for this spot.Vegetarian options: Sexy veggie sausage

Kid-friendliness: Great outdoor space for kids to run around, and the chicken schnitzel fingers are a big hit.

This is well deserved for these poseurs of any decent German food. The sausage roll was hard, stale and dry. The sausage has a hard piece in it that almost broke a tooth. You guys are seriously touched in the head. Absolute garbage food quality and the kitchen must be staffed with special ed students to let something like this leave the kitchen. Close down
