This restaurant is definitely overhyped in New Orleans. Securing a reservation can be tough, which might give you the impression that everyone is clamoring to dine at Galatoire's. They enforce a formal dress code, and if you arrive without a jacket, they'll provide you with one if you want to sit in the main dining area. 3rd visit. First two were amazing, and this time definitely not......We prefer to not dress up too much and sit in the bar area, and have always loved every minute of it. This time we were told the bar area was full (even though there were clearly empty tables) so we were led into the secondary dining area and it's a whole different world and not for us. You went here and filmed an episode for Nola Food Chick!!! Great atmosphere, oysters and desserts!!!! Try the bread pudding, best I have ever had!!!
