So I got my kicks out of reading some of these negative reviews. Running a business is difficult because most great business owners do their very best to please their customers. Some of the negative reviews posted sound as though they are just coming from people who were having a bad day to start with, then came into this establishment, and didn't get one thing their way, and decided to start on a bashing rant. For other reviews, it sounds like people don't understand what a poboy is, and/or have never had one prior to having one at this place. I am from New Orleans, but live on the westbank of New Orleans, and will say that from me and my family's perspective, you can NOT, find a better shrimp poboy in the city. We like all of the poboys here, but the shrimp is hands down the best. No other shop provides you will a bigger, nor more delicious stuffed poboy. Yes, the poboys are a little pricier, but there are tons of shrimps on these poboys, AND, they are shareable. My husband and I will split a long poboy two ways and will be satisfied. With me and my daughters, I will get a long and have it split three ways, and we are all happy. Don't forget the sweet tea they brew because you wont find a better brew ANYWHERE!

I asked if I could do the “grilled chicken po-boy special” with fried chicken instead. She told me no, which seemed ridiculous. I just ordered it with grilled chicken. The french bread was stale and the grilled chicken was dry/tasteless. It tasted and looked freezer burned. Fries were okay.

Good place to have shrimp and Bomb sandwiches. Nice neighborhood too.
The Grilled Shrimp PoBoy has to be the BEST I've ever eaten. The location just reminds you of why you love to visit NOLA. I sat in my truck out front and watched a young student through the window at the Art school across the street as he drew a portrait, for some odd reason I felt lucky to be in that moment. Then to be greeted with GREAT food and amazing hospitality, that totally iced the cake. Guy's is definitely a must try, I can't wait to return.

Service can be a bit slow, but it's well worth the wait. This place has the best po-boys I've ever eaten. Calling ahead can save some time.

Some of the best po-boys in town, and they’re huge to boot! If you’re on a tour of po-boy spots in the city, include Guys along with the likes of Domilise’s, Parasols, and Parkway

I enjoyed the shrimp po boy, but my girlfriend was put off by the shrimp not being properly deveined. Staff was welcoming and it wasn't over crowded when I went (though it was an off time).
