Awesome local dive. Fried shrimp platter was the best I've had in many years. Place is well hidden, but if you find it, you're a winner.

We read good reviews about this place so we checked it out. It was difficult to find. And it seemed sketchy. There was no clear entry or sign. A man on the sidewalk encouraged us to come in. It looked like we had to go into a dark hallway to a place we could not see. We did not go in.

Delicious , authentic Southern food. The shrimp po-boy was fantastic and breakfast is a huge portion with the best biscuits I've had, maybe ever. Worth finding!

Amazing food & the couple that runs it are sweethearts, service was amazing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in the area for quality food & vibes.

Not sure if I've ever set foot in the bar but the restaurant is great. Was in NOLA almost a week and finally made it there for takeout for the plane home. Had the fried fish and jambalaya. Super good fish even after steaming in the box and bag for hours and then had the jambalaya for supper. Both were topnotch as was the potato salad. I did miss the mac and cheese which used to be great. Guessing they do a lot of takeout and delivery to area businesses but a cool place for a tourist to find and love. Too bad only open for breakfast and lunch but thats probably how they are so good.

Restaurant needs a deep clean.

Aside from the place being filthy, when we went to sit down the table was dirty and had to ask the worker to clean it. Food was completely meh, chicken sandwich, meat and bread were dry, the Mac and cheese was Mac with barely any cheese. The kicker was the offensive symbols on the ordering window. I did not feel comfortable or welcomed. Never again. 0 stars

I gave it one star because the toilets flushed. The staff were nice but not really interested in working. The place was a disgusting dirty mess.

This place was awesome! Right across from the Hampton Inn & Suites French Quarter. The bar dive bar with great regulars and service. The bartender made the place. She was friendly, enjoyed her time behind the bar and took care of everyone. As you walk through the bar and head to the back, you'll see a small room with restaurant tables for the small kitchen. You order and it's at the window. What a delicious shrimp lunch I had; more shrimp than I could eat. Hubby's chicken sandwich was ok but the winner was the shrimp! Spoke with the former owner of the bar and learned his brother owns the kitchen. Was a fun afternoon talking with locals. A great find.

The place can be hard to find. You have to tell the door guy if you're eating at the bar, or the restaurant. The restaurant is small. They make your stuff to order, but everything is basically ala carte. It's good, but a teensy bit on the expensive side.

This hole in the wall is the best kept secret. When going to this place, you go down a dark alleyway. The process of ordering the food is a little different but oh is it good. The first time I got the hash brown platter with an egg, bacon & hash browns. It was very good. I went back a 2nd time & got fried chicken. It was good too.
