A solid performer. Everyone down here knows how to make good local entrees. The food never disappoints and is sometimes outstanding but more Importantly the staff is friendly and attentive and the menu is relatively wide.

We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the friendly, prompt service and the delicious food. Definitely a great little restaurant for a plate of local flavor. Our waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and helpful in navigating food allergies.

My cousin and friends saw a long line for this place while walking around, so we came back the next day to try. When we got there, there wasn't a line, so we were more than thrilled! We ordered quite a bit of food. Bbq shrimp, hush puppies, crab cakes, oysters, redfish cookery, and fried redfish. I ordered oysters because I was craving them and being in New Orleans, why not! However, I found these oysters to be quite blah. Nothing special and only came with cocktail sauce and horseradish. I ate them, but they weren't satisfying. Everyone at the table found the bbq shrimp to be excellent. I didn't try them but I'm glad that everyone enjoyed them. Once the food arrived, the table got real quiet, so you know people were chowing down! I first tasted the greens, and I immediately could tell they came from a can and tasted it like it! I found them to be super watery and unappetizing. The fried redfish wasn't crispy and, on top of that, had absolutely no seasoning! Again, another meal where the meat had no seasoning but all the flavor was in the sauce. I was super annoyed by this, but I found the crawfish mushroom sauce to be quite good! Now, if my fish had seasoning, was crispy, and eaten this with that sauce, I would have enjoyed my meal a little more. Hush puppies were ordered for the table, and I found this fried snack to be quite delicious! The seasoning on them were great, and when eaten with that sauce, made for a tasty morsel! Aside from that, I only enjoyed my dark and stormy drink, which was excellent! This wasn't my favorite place, but if you're looking for fried delights, a drink or a quick snack, I would say give this place a try.

The food was pretty decent and there was good variety on the menu. Everything came out fast, portions are good. I was impressed at how bad the service was. Our server Belle treated us like we hurt her and she was very cold/borderline rude to us. On the upside she treated all guests this way so I don’t think it was personal.

Great people working here, food was very good. We got the gator bites, Cajun Jambalaya pasta, the Gumbo platter, Blackened chicken po-boy and the fried fish platter...they were all very good. The place is like most in the French Quarter...a bit old and dirty...the street party was raging and the drinks were flowing...overall this place is worth a visit for good food and fun.

Very nice fried shrimp and seafood gumbo. The portions are a bit small since we just had starters and a side but it was very tasty!Vegetarian options: There is vegetarian stew and pasta options.

Fantastic food and great taste. We had the Gumbos, wish it could have been a main dish and not only a starter. The service was a little bit slow

We had such a great meal here. They seated us upstairs, thus, great views of the action on the street, looking over the balcony area.I ordered the blackened chicken, greens, and cheesy grits, along with a side of the jalapeño hush puppies. The chicken had a great spicy heat level to it and was tender and juicy. The greens were great. They had a tiny bit of smoke, a mild tang from the vinegar, and a decent pot liquor flavor. The grits were nothing special and not creamy as I liked. They were a little grainy, not very cheesy, and actually was more solidified when served. The jalapeño hush puppies weren't spicy at all to me. I was hoping to get some heat, but there was nome. They did have a great mild flavor, though, a nice crunch on the outside, and nice and fluffy and soft on the inside. The food here is good. Not a knock it out of the park good, but definitely a place I will come back to again. Good NOLA flavors and ambiance!
