Although contrary to local sentiment, the beignets here are really good. They are not deep fried, so it is not the "traditional" method, but very tasty. If you are stopping for coffee anyway, these are definitely worth a shot.
After decades of visiting family in New Orleans, we were surprised to find our new favorite beignet spot right here at PJ's.Not all PJ's franchise locations serve beignets, but this one does and they are incredible! They don't use the usual deep fryer, and so the dough is much more soft, airy, and buttery almost like a croissant. So good!Love the style and art in the location as well.
