“Why did I do this to myself? Expensive but so worth it. I can't afford these kinds of habits! Glad I don't live here now. Suffice to say everything was excellent. I got there early in their dining service, having waited it out perusing Oak St. Kept the party going with a really good unfiltered/cloudy sake. The miso, while disappointing for me being tofu less, more than made up for it with a broth of vigor that would make IC Michiba proud. Talking to the chef towards the end of my meal, he explained to me that they use all the parts of the fish they buy, and it showed. I haven't had uni or ikura too often, but the quality and flavor was obvious. It wasn't salty, smooth texture and the roe had a pleasant bite. Both the bluefin sashimi and the spicy tuna hr were the best tuna I've ever had. Fatty, slightly sweet and of course well prepared. Single best sushi meal I've had since Morimoto's in Philly several years ago. Extra points for the head chef to share her knowledge, train her staff and give them the ability to perform like that without being in town.“
“Asuka Sushi & Hibachi offers an authentic and delightful culinary journey through Japanese cuisine. The sushi and sashimi are impeccably fresh, and the tempura is crispy and light. The ambiance and service enhance the overall dining experience, making it a top choice for lovers of Japanese food. Thumbs“
“Pretty average poke place, but still tasty. Nice spot to eat near the garden district or on magazine street if you're hot from walking and want something to cool you down. Food was fresh and the selection was good, but the pricing was a bit strict in terms of number and type of toppings as well as amount of protein. There's some seating inside.Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free and pescitarian“
“This place is a hidden gem. Definitely off the beaten track, but well worth the trip. One of those little "hole in the wall" sort of spots (but, immaculately clean) that are so often associated with good neighborhood sushi places in Japan. If you're a real fan of sushi (especially nigiri and sashimi) just do yourself a favor and try this place. I'm glad I did.“
“This place is awesome! Regular here and the service is always top notch! The workers are so kind and efficient. They always get me what I need and ensure my dining experience is great! The drinks are good. The sushi here is splendid! Fish is fresh. The ramen broth is amazing here! I love the bbq pork with spicy tonkotsu ramen! The bar area is nice and private (separate from the indoor dining area). There’s also an outside dining area for good nature vibes. The owner is super cool too! I highly recommend this place for locals and tourists!!“
“Had an amazing first dinning experience at Yo Nashi! The atmosphere is wonderful, beautiful bar, open seating to watch the chefs at work. The chefs interacted with us during our meal and gave a full description of each dish, they’re very knowledgeable and talented. The food was beyond! This week their menu featured tuna from Japan and Red Snapper, I thoroughly enjoyed every dish and was so impressed! You can tell so much thought goes into their menu (which changes weekly due to what quality protein is available), the flavors and plating. Cannot wait to come back!“
“Wow. Coming from a land locked state I take every chance I can to eat sushi when I visit New Orleans and this place is by far the best I’ve ever had in this city. As a lifetime sushi fanatic I was so excited for the Rajun Cajun aligator roll and it did not disappoint!! My other favorite was the Escolar nigiri that was so heavenly I’ll be dreaming about it til the next time I visit NOLA.I went there for Tuesday happy hour where I had to finish my work day from a table for one and I was so satisfied with the peaceful ambience and green tea which made filing contracts and invoices a blissful experience between sushi bites. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in New Orleans and try more of their menu!!!“
“best poke in town! i treat myself to this spot as much as i can. always fresh and delicious. the staff and owner are lovely folks! great variety on the menu, and I want to try it all eventually. as an Asian American, this spot has exactly the comfort food I am looking for. I’m so glad it’s in town, and so conveniently located right off of st. claude. highly recommend!“
“Outstanding customer service from entry to exit. One of the rare restaurants open on Christmas and grateful for it. We thoroughly enjoyed the Chinese eggplant, sweet & sour boneless chicken & Kung pao shrimp. Decorum authentic yet a little dark (dim lighting). It didn't bother me yet someone might find exception. Prices reasonable and plates are hearty.“
“Best Sushi in New Orleans! Amazing quality, good portions, and very nice service! The ambience is perfect for a quick lunch or nice dinner! Sake selection is good and the menu has options for everyone! Kids menu is perfect as well! Must try the sashimi here! Unagi is perfection too!“
“This is the best Sushi in town, I can't even tell you how amazing this place is. A friend took me here for dinner a while back and I was just blown away. Carter was our server, he is too good, very attentive and proffesional. I will definetly be back.“
“Nothing that I don't like about this spot, except maybe the weird restroom XD. Everything I've tried on the menu was good (wasabi popper appetizer, yellow dragon roll, firecracker roll were favorites). Their chirashi bowl was pretty good also. Service was fine if a little slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty on a Saturday. Inside the atmosphere is just basic, but clean and acceptable.“
“Great food and awesome staff. I highly recommend Kyoto 2.Parking: Have never had trouble parking at dinner. Lunch might be more difficult. I expect they had a large lunch crowd. The side lot is overflow and I've never had to park there during dinner.Kid-friendliness: The kids chopsticks are neat. I've never seen that before. One end has a rubber band on it so kids get to use them also. The appetizers are something the kids tend to like.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room in restaurant for a wheelchair.“
“Great dinner vibe if you're looking to kick off the night with some energy! Food is amazing, fresh, and vibrant! The music playlist is always on point! The staff works hard to ensure guests are accommodated and leave happy! Thank you for making each experience so wonderful and setting the stage for a fun night on the town! This is a popular downtown restaurant with a smaller kitchen. The restaurant tries their best to get food out as quickly as possible and will do everything possible to speed up the process while ensuring food quality remains high. Have a laissez les bons temps rouler and you're all set for a wonderful night!Dietary restrictions: Make staff aware of allergies and they will offer a ton of substitutions to make the dish as intended or provide a wonderful substitute!“
“We've gone here for years and we're never let down (which is sometimes hard to come by in the Quarter)! Excellent service and excellent food! I highly recommend the spicy edamame as an appetizer, the sauce that they put on it is incredible!“
“My favorite sushi in the city. Everything is always fresh and flavorful. I also get the Metairie roll and mango roll and they’re delicious every time. The drive thru window sets this place above everyone else. Makes getting takeout sushi so easy.“
“A good sushi place with high end sushi prices. We live right in the neighborhood and been here only a few times since they've opened. The sushi is good, and their fried rice and eggrolls are fantastic. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is ok, but not memorable.Problem for us is we leave feeling like we overpaid. For example, a basic snow crab roll is $9, add in tax and tip and you're looking at $12 for a single snow crab roll. Specialty rolls end up at $25 apiece final cost. If everything on the menu were $4-5 cheaper, this would be a fantastic place to get sushi. As is, it's a convenient neighborhood sushi spot, but maybe not the best place for value-minded guests.“
“They have the most freshest delicious sushi ever!! I've tried so many sushi places and restaurants but this one it's so different from all the others! I always get Dinner Bento Box, it's good deal and they give you a lot of stuff! You can choose two protein options, and I always get the Beef Teriyaki and Salmon! They come with miso soup, salad, California roll, gyoza, vegetables, fruit, and fried rice! All of that it's only around $20 bucks. Delicious! And Jazz Roll is my favorite! They're so big and juicy, super filling and delicious and it's about $15 bucks. Usually the dinner bento box will fill me up so I don't need to order jazz roll anymore but I got it because I love it so much!! Sashimi is so fresh too, one time I got sashimi for my bento box and jeez it was the best! The workers are very friendly and the environment is pretty nice! By the way they don't have sweet tea, only unsweet tea so you'll have to add your own sugar. But I recommend this place for sure and will go back again!“
“It's not the fanciest place in town but gosh was this a great place to get food, I had fried tofu and the Spicy Ichimi Ramen and everything from the texture to the broth was killer. Nice lady working the counter took take out, to go, and dine in patrons and was very attentive. Sure the place is open and a little older but the feel was immediately outdone by the taste and speed which the meal was delivered. I cannot wait to go back“
“One of the better buffets in the are. Service is always prompt, curious and polite. The food selection should cover just about ones preference. It's fresh, hot, and well maintained. They will actually offer to fix sushi rolls, if you don't see what you like or offer their special rolls. Always a clean place to eat.Parking: Handicap painted parking at front door.“
“Listen up this place here should be on your list to eat at HANDS DOWN they blow my mind with the amazing consistency of the pineapple shrimp fried Rice and the crawfish rolls with the eel sauce make sure ask for a extra serving of eel sauce for the rice as well the combination makes my taste buds dance . This is my two must have everytime I go here. Keep up the great work guys!!“
“Clean restaurant, friendly service, tasty food and really great pricing, specifically the lunch specials. Will absolutely be back again! We had the hibachi steak and shrimp, chicken teriyaki bento box, edamame and a spicy tuna roll. All great!“
“Located on the second floor of the Riverwalk Outlet Mall at the Port of New Orleans, this small stand does a great job putting out fresh sushi. You can choose both pre-made or made to order items. I chose the pre-made spicy crawfish roll and was not disappointed. I usually use soy sauce, ginger, and Wasabi with my rolls, but the spicy dressing and well seasoned Crawfish were perfect on their own. Don't let the location fool you. It offers a great alternative to the usual mall food people have become used to.“
“Service is slooooooowwwwwwwe, even if the place is empty. The sushi is fresh, but the man making it was just shaping it with his bare hands then wiping his face which kind of grossed us all out. If you ask for a napkins they'll only bring you one. We asked twice. We got two. We drive in for sushi here about once a year; it hasn't been updated in the 20 years we've gone. The interior is really dilapidated. Sushi is always nice though. If you want a nice atmosphere then go somewhere else. If you just want pretty good sushi then give this a try,“
“Charming Vietnamese restaurant in an old setting typical of Nola, with beautiful woodwork and modern American comfort (screens with sports, news and series channels, and very good country radio).Among the CBD towers, so easy and fearless access in the evening on foot. Parking possible nearby, on the upper floors and in the streets, but paying everywhere (city center required). On the other hand, for the location in this business district, could have closed at 10 p.m. instead of 9.30 p.m.On the other hand, very friendly staff, and fast service.Great value for money. Came twice, both during the week and also on Saturday.Vegetarian options: Some dishes only include plant-based ingredients.“
“When we arrived at the Royal Sushi Bar, there wasn’t any hostess, but the bartender advised us that we could sit anywhere and a server would be with us shortly. On the outside you can’t really tell it’s a Japanese restaurant, however when you walk in the atmosphere was completely different. The Japanese art was very unique and lifted the atmosphere on the inside. You can tell their designer took their time to create this look!Once we were seated our server Mathew was very polite and even assisted us with picking items off the menu.During this time unfortunately one of our original items we picked wasn’t available, but he surprised us with a delicious Japanese tuna ceviche. We couldn’t finish all of the dishes we ordered so we took some to go.Overall all it was a delightful experience to dine there, it a must try when you go to New Orleans!Vegetarian options: There are a few in the menu.Dietary restrictions: The server asked if we had and to ensure he assisted.Parking: We were able to park on the street side of the building close to the restaurant.“
