Came here after finding so many good reviews about it and it even came across my Tik Tok page. It absolutely lives up to the hype. The atmosphere is very nostalgic, the crew is very helpful and polite, and the food was amazing. My family tried the collard greens sandwich, the fried bologna sandwich and the mama tried burger. The start of the show was the fried bologna sandwich but the collard green sandwich was a very close second. The burger was tasty as well. If you are in the area, I recommend giving it a try!

One of the best meals I had in New Orleans! My wife and I split a fried bologna sandwich and a collard green melt, both incredible! Staff was friendly and service was fast and accurate. They also have a “pay-it-forward” option on the menu where they make a meal for someone in need. It was nice to see they cared about the community they serve.

Just do it. Wait in the line (no matter how long). Get the Fried Bologna Sandwich. 10/10. It's so worth it.

Whether you're searching for best lunch in NOLA using Yelp, Eaters, or a follower of James Beard nominees, then you may have heard of Turkey and the Wolf. Otherwise, please allow me to explain why this place is worth the 40 min walk from Canal street. My recommendation is to leave early and get there by opening so you can enjoy a beautiful outdoor lunch or reside in the AC indoor dining area. Must get: fried bologna sandwich, taco, collared green sandwich Meh: cabbage salad - too much sauce Missed out: hamburger, ham sandwich I will be honest, this is a high-carb, high calorie, and high salt meal, but it doesn't taste that way. All of the flavors, texture is really methodically balanced to leave you both wanting to order more and simultaneously holding off at the same time. I love how the potato chips add the perfect crunch to each bite and that the sandwiches are served straight from the grill so the bread is not soggy or too dense.

Came here after seeing Mason on various YouTube channels and it’s definitely worth the trek. The restaurant is in the middle of a residential neighborhood but always has lineups. The food comes quick it and is quite delicious. I had the classic bologna sandwich and cabbage slaw salad with pig’s ear cracklin, it was innovative and delicious. The salad has a heavy vinegar component which helps to cut the fat while the sandwich came as advertised. The shop also sell some merchandise including signed copies of Mason’s book, so definitely come ready to eat.The only thing that takes away a star is their misleading payment terminal and their policy of already including 15% gratuity in prices. Given that the gratuity is included, why have options starting at 15% on the machine? I saw many people in line doubling up on the tips without realizing it. It’s fine to charge a bit more but I think this type of practice is unnecessary.

Honestly can't believe I forgot to review this place, I'll blame the day of travel I had afterwards. THE SANDWICHES ARE INSANE! Like holy cow so good, had the collard green melt and been dreaming of it ever since. The vibe is so fun, I wish I dined in...next time! 11/10!

The hype is real!!! Every bite was bursting with flavor. Unique twists on basic American food. It was busy, but the line moved quickly. Can't wait to come back!!
