“On our way out of Shreveport we wanted to get some coffee and beignets. It was a few minutes out of the way but so worth it.We got there around 10:30 and they informed us that the full menu wouldn’t be available until 11 but they had coffee and beignets available now. It was perfect for us. Each order came with 3 so we got two orders. They were the best I had ever had. Who needs Cafe Du Monde? These were BETTER! Just the right size to handle (think large ravioli) and coated in powdered sugar that stuck perfectly to the outside. They were fluffy and light but also dense and full (not just one big air pocket). Yes, they were a little messy to eat but all beignets are. I was expecting them to be a little greasy but they weren’t, they were just right in every way.We didn’t order anything else but this will be somewhere we make sure to stop every time we are in town!“
“This is a wonderful place to eat. The food is amazing and cooked home style. It’s family owned and operated. They take pride in everything they do. If I could give them 6 stars I would.Dietary restrictions: They have most anything you could want.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.“
“I use to frequent here all the time for lunch. They recently did some revamping and no longer serve hot lunches as they've converted to more of a market. They still offer daily lunches but, they are in the market section and are offered cold. However, they will warm the dish up if u ask and want to dine in. I love so many food items here there's too much to name. But, just to name a few: the stuffed chicken with capers, the chicken salad, the strawberry salad with the strawberry vinegarette, and I must mention the homemade bread pudding! Yall! That bread pudding is heaven on earth! When my aunt passed I thought I would never taste another bread pudding as good as hers. But child, let me tell u, if u go there and don't get it, u r depriving urself of a happy day! I'll be back soon!“
“We are repeat customers for a few years. THIS YEAR is our 1st to ORDER TURKEYS. We ordered 1 smoked & 1 roasted. Both were moist, delicious & well worth the price & worth our drive (40 min 1 way). Also this is supporting local 100%. Ms. Karen, Eric & Mrs Kay are the best cooking crew ever!“
“Stopped in for a quick hot roast beef Panini. I left off their beatiful caramelized onions this time. I did have the cheese and horseradish mayo with a side of their long sliced fries.Simple and so satisfying. The lovely woman who took care of me at the counter was so outgoing and helpful, a super plus for me.Lots of choices, soups, salads, hot & cold sandwiches, desserts of all kinds to tempt you. This is a hidden gem.Highly recommend. The 1st time you go try to alot at least an hour because you'll want to browse the shop.Wheelchair accessibility: graded concrete painted (bright blue )“
“This is a drive thru...togo place..you can not go inI got the red beans and rice with sausage..it was really good..hot and fresh..cabbage..and fries..my dad got the Smother pork chops..they were failing off the bone..with lima beans and yams..all of it was really good..Cornbread came with both meals..it was ok..but over all the food was really good“
“I absolutely loved this place. The bread pudding is probably the best I've ever had. However, the food is very bland. We ordered the shrimp buster and fried catfish. None of our dishes had flavor. This is Louisiana!!! Whoever is doing the cooking, please spice it up a bit!“
“We loved the Cotton Boll Grill. It was clean and decorative. There were antique things hanging on the wall. It felt like stepping back in time. The staff got along and things seemed to go smoothly. The beef tips were delicious. You have to try the fresh hot water bread because it was delicious. Our waitress was good. Our cook was nice.“
“5 Starts!!!!! The food we ordered was so delicious!!! Both my husband and I had the Patty Melts with fries. Talk about scrumptious goodness!!! We highly recommend eating here!! The owner is an amazing cook and so friendly!! We will definitely come eat here again when we visit Shreveport. A++++“
“Hands down one of the best restaurants in Shreveport if your looking for an amazing southern home cooked meal. The exact definition of Comfort Food not to mention the best waitresses in town. The customer service was superb! Every time we come to Shreveport from Dallas we have to eat here at least once!“
“This Sam's is independently owned and operated, seperate from the others in town, and it shows! Oysters as big as duck eggs, fish filets that are meaty and flaky, service on point (Thanks Jessica!), and greens seasoned like your mama made 'em. I can't say enough about Jordan and his crew. My dad and I will be back!“
