“Presentation and quality of food was amazing! I had a half southwest omelet and a smoothie which was perfect for breakfast/brunch. Staff are very friendly and helpfulParking: Plenty of parking in the central town lot and behind CVS.Kid-friendliness: They had books and other sturdy toys available for kids to entertain themselves”
“This sleepy college town housed a surprisingly numerous Chinese restaurant scene, among other Asian cuisines. This appeared to be the pick of the lot, offering authentic Northern-style items including noodles. The option to order a tofu stir-fry seemed appealing, and indeed several options were clearly marked as vegetarian and vegan. However, the signature dish is a fresh sort of noodle distinctive to the region, and I was seduced by the distinctively springy texture and fresh flavor. It took around fifteen minutes to make those noodles, and while I was on a schedule, it was worth waiting for fresh food.”
“Delicious sandwiches and pastries! I am currently enjoying a sweet potato, carmalized onion, tempeh w/ dijon mustard on warm focaccia bread that is absolutely heavenly. I love what the humble peach has going on. They create in line with their name; crafting a small, well thought out and always delicious menu of sandwiches, sweet treats and smoothies. I always leave super satisfied. The staff and owners seem to take great care in what they do and how they serve you. Many thanks!”
“I was able to get dinner here after 4pm on a Friday and it was pretty good. The staff here were very friendly and professional. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Parking... sucks. There is no convenient lot to park thus you have to park on a paid spot off the street and it probably won't be close to the establishment. I'm happy to be able to make it here. I am looking forward to going back again soon!”
“This one hardly needs a review because there's always a line and for good reason. We are obsessed with the yellow rice, and usually get the plate with chicken or falafel. An awesome meal. The sauces are super and the hots are very spicy! Love the pickled vegetables too. A local staple that I hope will remain for a long time.”
“I adore the Archives! Definitely one of the best mixology places in the Pioneer Valley. Classic and original cocktails are VERY well prepared. The speakeasy entry and old basement environment are very cool and surprisingly comfortable. I regularly drive half an hour out of my way to visit.”
“Awesome find! Not a lot of vegan options locally so having 6 options to pick from was amazing. Food was great, service, drinks and atmosphere. 10/10 will definitely come back again!”
“Truly one of the best breakfast/sandwich shops in the area. I used to live in Amherst around 7 years ago and miss this place so much but got to stop in this weekend after a long hiatus. The breakfast sandwiches on a roll are so satisfying and the matcha is really tasty. Almost everything here is. Don’t skip the baked goods. And go look at their salt and pepper shaker collection.”
“El Comalitos is the best El Salvadoran/Mexican food in Amherst, hands down. Burritos are a great price if you're feeding a crowd for takeout, or I highly recommend the birria tacos or tacos dorados. Dining in, treat yourself to the plato pobrr and a generously sized margarita. If you want a Stanley Cup of a margarita, they've also got a huge margarita option (for sharing). Vibes are good, decor is classic, bathrooms are cheap, service is prompt. I'm a regular.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options in both tacos and burritos, just good dishes by themselves. They do not offer meat substitutes (ex. No tofu, no Impossible).”
“A last-minute impromptu dinner reservation was easily accommodated. Cam was our server and he was friendly and professional, checking in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Our dinners were exactly as requested and delicious. Another great night!”
“Went their for dinner with my wife, we'd been fighting and needed a place that was calm to bond over food. The place was chill and we found some calm in being surrounded by students. Thanks, better than marriage counseling...did I mention the food was hot, quick and delicious.”
“So far everything I have tried is delicious. The spicy wings are incredible the way it is presented and served. Looking forward to trying salt and pepper calamari. The shrimp with vegetables was fantastic. I highly recommend this.”
“I love their sushi specially “smoked salmon avocado “. They give you a complimentary Miso soup even with take out orders which is great ? but fried rice was not so good to me ?”
“Been going there for 20 years now and the food is always excellent from the start.Wheelchair accessibility: there's a narrow flight of stairs to cover to get to the dining room. I haven't tried in a wheelchair, but it would seem difficult for anyone so unfortunate.”
“I was in the area and searching for a quick lunch when I stumbled upon this gem. Had the very best Gyro I have ever eaten. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The pita was pillow soft and the ingredients were top notch. Super friendly staff. Got the spice level just right for me. Gave me Falafel and hummus to snack on while the prepared my order (which was great). They learned this was my first visit so they gave me a discount! Phenomenal find. Right downtown with plenty of street parking. Can't wait to get back! A must try.”
