“The best meal I've had on the North Shore the last 10 years...and it was chicken!! If you like well seasoned, flavorful food, make a special trip for Kitchen Table's Garlic Herb Chicken. The service was perfect for a couples night out; attentive without interruptions. Give KT a try if you haven't yet. We will be back again soon.“
“I came in here for a glass of wine and met the most wonderful bartender Kristie!! She was so welcoming even though it was close to closing. I said I would only be here for a glass and she welcomed me with open arms and made me feel super comfortable. I have come here before and also love the food and service has always been great. I highly recommend!“
“Elizabeth greeted us with a smile. We are regulars & Friday night was a surprise easy visit. We usually come mid week. Atmosphere is great, menu has something for everyone. Reminds me of college town atmosphere. Kids fit in. Family vibe. Orders are out quick. Runners for service are key! Taco's are really good. My wife loves the scallops! Miss picky cleaned her plate.Music bingo gets my wife excited. In and out in an hour. Love it!“
“After having a lot of artisanal pizza lately, all I wanted was a no-frills, good old New England pizza shop cheese pie. Still getting a feel for spots that deliver after a move, and had never tried this place before. Pizza was awesome! Sauce had nice flavor, crust was perfectly done, and there was a perfect amount of cheese. Best of all, it was still piping hot when Door Dash got to my house. Will definitely order again.“
“I went there while on a work trip. The place was awesome! Great food, beer and service. It was so good that we went back a second night and our server remembered us. I would highly suggest the Seafood Pie and Tailfin beer. Great quality and very reasonably “
“I brought a party of 4 Saturday and enjoyed the tapas servings! It gave us a chance to taste many flavors without committing to anything. Everything that was questionable to any of us was delicious! We ordered 3 things from the menu at a time to stay within our 90 minute time frame. Our waiter, Scott offered us courteous fast and efficient service. That was yesterday...I'm back today (Sunday) with my husband. Our server, Jack is just as nice and productive with our meal today.“
“Hailey was amazing food was amazing service from door to table was outstanding it was pricey but worth every penny and more I hope we come back when we visit Salem againKid-friendliness: They accommodated our 4yo and had no problem with our 10yo and other kids we had service was impeccable“
“If I could give 10 stars I would. We have been going to A&D for months now and probably once a week on average. My 9yo son asks to eat there all the time. Why? Besides the food being delicious and just mouth watering (my favorite - the scallop tacos! every single time - not sure it's on the menu but ask for it!), but also because George & Nina and the rest of the crew take such amazing care of us. George is passionate about food, people and service. He lets us know when he has something delicious coming up on the menu so we can try it out. And if he feels something isn't right - he's not going to wait for you to say something.. he is very proactive! It truly feels like a family when we go in, we have such a great time :) Thanks George, keep up the amazing work, we are grateful for you.“
“Excellent food at a fair price in a friendly atmosphere. Most of my visits are for breakfast. I'm always in a hurry and they serve quickly. You feel like you are in a place where all the locals go. I intend to try their lunch menu and now hear they do dinners. Very affordable . Important to me since I am on Social Security. I highly recommend.“
“First experience and was very impressed. Filet mignon cooked exactly as requested with a lobster risotto topped with two scallops which was a perfect complement to the meal. Member of my table also got the A5 Wagyu and that experience alone was pretty insane. Our waiter Ted was very knowledgeable and provided great service. Expensive, but for their execution on the food and service it is well worth it in my opinion.“
“This place has delicious seafood. Here you order your meal at a window inside of the restaurant and then wait in the dining area until you are called to return to the window and pick up your food. There is plenty of seating in the dining room and I found it to be very clean. The order taker at the window seemed pleasant and helpful. You can order a mini meal that comes with one side dish or you can order a larger plate that is served with two side dishes. I opted for the mini meal and I got the fried scallops with french fries as my side dish. The scallops were delicious and the fries were very good as well. If you come here but want something other than seafood they do offer other items such as chicken sandwiches, hamburgers and chicken fingers. If you are a seafood lover though, I would definitely order some seafood here. You won't be disappointed. This is an excellent dining destination and I would certainly like to go back.“
“We were very excited to try the Blue Marlin from reviews we’ve seen. I have to mention our initial reaction was a little sketchy when we first entered and encountered the hostess. She looked at my family (including me, my wife & 2 adult daughters) and asked… “What can I do for you?” with an unwelcoming look on her face we interpreted to mean What are you people doing here? If we weren’t celebrating my wife’s birthday I probably would have left. She brought us to our table, literally threw the menus on the table and said someone would be with us. THANKFULLY, our server came and was super friendly. Everything else went well. The food was pretty good and seemed fresh. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. The only other slight disappointment, though not a big thing, was I mentioned my wife’s birthday to our server but no special recognition was afforded her. Would probably like to return and try it again.Wheelchair accessibility: Felt that interior restaurant tables might be a little too close to allow for easy wheelchair access“
“This was my first time at the Berry Tavern. We’ve been hearing all about it for a while now and decided to give it a try. Nicole is cute as a button and the sweetest person. We loved talking to her! The food was fantastic as well. We will absolutely be back!!“
“I went to red's tavern first time March 16th 2024 to listen to a band that I follow and get a bite to eat waitress never introduced to self her customer service was awful the place is no good I wouldn't have recommend this place to anybody everybody has their own opinions but my first time going there I will never step in that establishment again they are not comfortable it's not friendly there I had to speak to the boss he went over to speak to the waitress and she just shrugged her shoulders said like who cares her name was Maureen and the manager was Tony very nice guy but it's not the point whoever rates it as a good place that's your opinion my opinion the place awful“
“10/10 Five Stars All the Accolades We had a group of 20- 13 kids and seven adults- and our service was TOP NOTCH. They seated us together right away. Brought our food out together and quickly. Understood that we had picky kids and worked with us every step of the way. The food is amazing. The cocktails were cute. The kids had root beer floats, so it was fun for them, too! I always come back because of their food, but their service has made this a staple of mine for every trip to Salem from now on!!“
“Went for a family celebration amd had a fabulous dinner. The owners are lovely and very accommodating with food requests. The fried shrimp, the stir fry coconut little necks were amazing! The boiler with mussels and scallops amd noodles was delicious! The pho was too! The stir fry noodles were very good. The shrimp rolls with peanut sauce were light and tasty! The Boba and smoothies are actually nondairy and were yummy! And it's right on the beach! Simple decor, but perfect for the beach. I highly recommend it!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating with requests.Kid-friendliness: Great for families and kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible.“
“Zeno’s has always been great, but it’s time to face the facts; over the last couple years they’ve gone to another level entirely and are, by far, the best Beef spot in Massachusetts. While other trendy spots in the North Shore have become obsessed with pretentiously packing as much (average) beef as possible into their sandwich to get looks on social media or whatever, Zeno’s keeps it OG and uses appropriate but never thrifty amounts of their absolutely untouchable beef in every sandwich, making it a much more well balanced sandwich experience overall. There’s always a hint of “spice” to their beef but once again, unlike other spots, they don’t overdo it in an attempt to club you over the head. They simply let their untouchable product shine. Add to this some of the friendliest employees you’ll ever find anywhere to the mix and you have the stuff of legend. Zeno’s is the king.“
“Parking: 100 feet off Rt 133, 26 feet max from Restaurant door. Perfect for a rain day.Kid-friendliness: Kids can enjoy helping, their parents, get Condiments. Friendly family booths. Great whoopie Pies.Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms are huge. The place is new and designed well.“
“We stopped in from Indiana based off Google reviews in an attempt to find a good seafood meal. This place did NOT disappoint!!! In fact, potentially ruined us for all seafood moving forward as there is literally nothing negative to say!!! Victor and his family have a wonderful "hidden" gem here! My husband and I placed our order, and Victor came to notify us that his father was on his way from the boats with lobster, and there would be a wait, maybe 15 minutes. Had he not told us, we would have never noticed, as we were more than preoccupied by the amazing calamari, salad and fresh baked bread. The seafood stuffed lobster was mind blowingly delicious, prepared to absolute perfection! Literally one of the best meals we have ever experienced. Will definitely be coming back next time we're in Boston!“
“Lobster Rolls delivered by the ownerMust get Chef specialsAnd waterfront views,The Landing In Marblehead is a destinationBeing on the water means fresh seafood is front and center, with a super popular lobster roll,Excellent fish and chips made with Allagash White Beer BatterAnd my personal favorite mussels in curried broth. With views, a restored bar, and menu like this, The landing has been a fan favorite for over 50 years.Owner Robert Simonelli and Chef Noe Ortega make a great team. The Landing Restaurant Group“
“As all ways, visited all the time when I lived local. Visited the other day and the food has stayed consistent. BUT, the tarter sause has changed for the worse. The tarter sause tastes like it went bad.BRING YOUR OWN. It ruined the clam roll I ordered. The staff is aware of the issue but no plans to change.“
“This was such an incredible experience. Our drinks, appetizer, and entrees were better than my partner and I could've imagined. The staff was incredibly kind from the moment we entered until the moment we left. A lot of the staff have been working there for 5+ years so they were passionate and informative about the restaurant and what it has to offer. & Our server, Bill, was the greatest, shout out to Bill! We will for sure be back.“
“I went to lunch on a Sunday with my daughter, brother and sister in law. Everything from the service to drinks, appetizers and food was excellent ! It has a nautical decor and a family fun atmosphere. They also have a bar which I will go back to and have appetizers and yummy cocktails. Highly recommend !“
“I really liked the food there. I ordered a paella and it was delicious. I also had a craft beer, very good! There are several options of dishes and drinks. The service was very friendly, but one of the requests was not initially met. It came out wrong and then they tried to correct it, but it ended up kind of the same.Everything else is perfect.Vegetarian options: Yes, there are vegetarian options like saladsDietary restrictions: It is possible to request options for people with dietary restrictionsKid-friendliness: Yes, there were children having lunch there“
“Great service last night. Renee was delightful. Cheery and made us feel "special". She suggested all her favorites and never left us with an empty glass of wine. Food was outstanding and we won't have to cook for 2 days with leftovers.“
“If you are thoughtful about when you eat there and adjust your expectations accordingly, it's a wonderful experience. This is in the heart of Tourist Salem, so understand the limitations of a tourist restaurant during the busy season. They run a very well organized kitchen but waitstaff will vary depending on the season and year. The head chef is nothing short of brilliant. The menu is thoughtful and inspired for the vast majority of potential diners. The line cooks range from competent to truly talented and motivated. I have eaten here a dozen occasions and have never seen a plate served that wasn't carefully presented according to the original design. Consistency is surprising given the fact that this is a popular tourist eatery, but that's why my fellow locals also keep returning. It's a 3.5/4 restaurant with appropriate prices. The seafood is always peak freshness and chicken and steak options have always been perfect. It does get very crowded and a bit loud on weekends or most nights during the summer & October. Please plan appropriately and expect a wait during that time. A small tip at the checkin station certainly could help you acquire a better table if not shorten your wait a small amount(not official policy, of course). It's not needed though as most seats are excellent and the wait is rarely very long due to two floors of dining options. Still, if it's a special night or you are looking to impress, a tip and a kind word will go a long way. Note: The world is rapidly changing and some seem to carry pride at displaying a lack of empathy, decency, and manners in public. Please don't be rude to the staff at the restaurant even if you aren't having an ideal experience. Instead, try politely discussing your issues with a staff member away from the table. If you are kind and express understanding, they will return the same and work to find a solution with you. This is about all restaurants and most businesses in general. I am just leaving this here as a good number of reviews seem to not understand that all of the employees are truly striving to give you a great experience. Some issues are beyond their control and a decent human being will understand that difference.“
“We visit family in Marblehead and this is definitely one of the places on the short list, honestly, because of their menu offerings. Their fried shrimp is pretty darned good and their classic New England coleslaw accompaniment is done better than others around the area (many have a vinegar base)! Fries are solid, straight cut, and very good. We had Bacon Wrapped Scallops for an appetizer and we're impressed! The service was very pleasant and efficient. We had a round of drinks from the bar before dinner. The bloody mary was heavy on horseradish, the MBC Lunch seemed a little less than fresh, and the Switchback Amber was perfect! We will be back when we are in town, for certain.“
“We stopped by here after being recommend it by our hostess at our inn. Wow, we were pleasantly surprised. We had two hearty glasses of wine before getting the prime rib and ravioli with the shallot cream sauce. Both meals were delicious. We especially favored the ravioli, yum. Service was great, we had Tara as a waitress and she was attentive and kind. If you are reading this because you are deciding where to go for dinner tonight, let me make it easy and say go here! ?“
“Having grown up on Cape Ann, we have eaten at every seafood restaurant around. Farnham's is quintessential Cape Ann New England Seafood. It is our fav in the area. So fresh, perfect clams every time, yummy milky style chowder amazing french fries and rings..and by the way the best hand made veggie burger hands down. They always have something affordable on the menu like fish and chips etc. Oh and amazing fish and blackened chicken tacos!“
“Wow. The food here is fantastic. I think they make the customers get up to get drinks and food is to make sure they don’t eat the entire kitchen in one sitting. The food is that good.If you’re a first timer, food is ordered at the register, so there can be a line due to how delicious everything inside is. That line can extend outdoors so come prepared… for good eats!Fried clams and boats and whatchahoozits. All good.A place where you can have some fun with people you love. You will walk away with a lasting memory“
“Amazing lobster roll, best lemonade i've ever had, and great passionate service from an amazing waiter who looked like he loved his job.We were here for the inspiring Peabody Essex Museum and left pleasantly suprised with the small but cozy resturant we ended up finding.“
“When I popped into Mike's for a quick roast beef, I wasn't expecting anything special. I eat a lot of roast beefs and have high standards. I have to say, Mike's impressed me. The beef was massive, perfectly cooked, and the sauce was somehow better than it normally is. I highly recommend everyone who likes roast beef give Mike's a shot.“
“Great little spot with outdoor seating in the Lot. Great group of guys whipping up some fierce seafood! I usually get the hot lobster roll and clams special but you can't go wrong with traditional roll either . Always good portion always good prices.“
“Great Bartenders! each time we came here we had awesome experiences. The people are worth a visit and the food and drinks are an addition to a great time! If you're lucky enough to score a place at the bar, just know you'll get the New England Hospitality!“
“eating here is absolutely amazing the atmosphere and service is fantastic and the food is always so good regardless of what I get, if you want to understand what eating a sandwich from dina's is like imagine the most mind blowing jaw dropping head you've ever received and multiply it by ten “
“The fried rice was exceptionally fresh, the ingredients were lively, and the appetizers were well-cooked but not dried out like some other restaurants that do not emphasize that particular detail. The service was excellent and the only downside in my opinion is the small stature of the restaurant itself. Other than that, you can't go wrong.“
“We hit all the recommended places our first couple days in marblehead, we continued to search for additional experiences to try. Our last afternoon we found this little place within walking distance (as most places are in marblehead) and reviews seemed good. Luckily they weren't busy so we didn't need a reservation at that time. After entering we were happily surprised by the decor and menu options, yet somehow we were even more surprised by our appetizers and then our entrées. After being told at another place our first night in marblehead that no restaurants served bread pudding, we ordered two when our server told us they had it (and they fresh and delicious). Had we been in town any longer we definitely would have returned to try some other options. We plan to be back in the area in the spring and we'll be making sure we have reservations.“
“We had a great time eating here the place is very clean and right on the beach they have outside and inside seating for your convenience!! Honestly the owner made the experience great we wanted to change a salad and instead of fussing he actually came out and asked us what was wrong and we explained and he totally fixed it the food was great the waitresses are very friendly and the New Owners are really bringing back the name Santorini’s loved everything about it!!!“
“My new go to place in Middleton. Have been here multiple times and gotten pizza, chicken wings, roast beef sandwich, and salads. Food and service are great. We ate in one time and service was similar to a restaurant with a waiter. They brought the food to our table and checked in with us multiple times. Highly recommended.“
“Me and my family order from here alot they have been our favorite since we moved to salem 5 years ago thez wat he'd mz family grow up and thez always k ow what we want when we call and add stuff without us having to askKid-friendliness: They love my kids so much. Andd basically watched my daughter grow up always been awesome people ?“
“This is one of the better "clam shacks" in Massachusetts and in all likelihood the most well-known at least here on the coast. This place is somewhat of a legend which translates to "very popular". In the summer, good luck getting in without waiting quite a long time in line...which I no longer am willing to do. The beauty of coming here "off season" and on a Sunday when the clocks were just turned back the night before is that you are hungry for lunch "earlier", and there are no crowds to speak of. So last Sunday when the clocks said it was 11:30am, it was in reality still 12:30pm in our minds (lunchtime!) as we had not yet had time to adjust to the time change. We've been here many times over the years but not in a very long time so it was nice to be back. Everything looked the same as it always has.We were soon to discover that the overall quality of the food is still quite good. Seafood is pricey these days, so clam shack or not, you're going to have to face the sticker shock. However, Woodman's is not nearly as expensive as another clam-shack/restaurant closer to home and the quality is better. It might be that the sheer volume of business that they do here may keep the prices ever so slightly better than some other places. My favorite thing to order (and what they are known for in particular) are the fried clam bellies. They also sell fried clam strip platters but for me, it is the clam bellies for sure. The bellies are meatier and really have the flavor of the ocean noticeable in each bite. The place is very large with lots of seating both indoors and out. You order at a counter and wait at your table for your number to be called. There is another counter where you can order beer and wine which is served to you right away and you bring to your table.Tom and I both got the clam belly platters, his with onion rings, mine with fries. The portion size was perfect for me but smaller than I remember....but trust me, it is still plenty of food. This is a no frills place that visually kind of reminds me of a camp dining hall.Other menu items include lobsters, lobster rolls, fish sandwiches, crab rolls, steamed clams with drawn butter (another fave of mine), etc. There are a few non-seafood items on the menu as well but that isn't what I'd come here for. There is ample free parking and everything is on one level and easily navigable. There are a few tables that are inexplicably very tight fits but just across the room are larger tables that are easier to maneuver in and out of.This is delicious New England seafood in an unpretentious, unfussy, relaxed setting. One of the reasons I love living in New England is classic seafood in a place just like this.“
“Very happy to have this place in Middleton. I was going to write best Italian northshore but then thought of Marcos—but found out they are sister restaurants! Have been here multiple times with family, friends and date night and enjoyed each time. I do find it funny that those with low ratings tend to be getting lasagna and chicken parm… both things I would think you can just make at home. I’m a fruti di mare kind of girl and they never disappoint!“
“It was a good surprise for us. My husband I went to Mass Audubon, and on the way home, we ate late lunch there. I ordered Chicken kabob salad, my husband got Lamb kabob salad. Chicken was delicious! It was grilled so taste very good. My husband liked his lamb. The portion is very big! The price is reasonable. The french fries are good too. We will stop by next time when we visit Audubon again!“
“For breakfast they should offer FRUIT and they do not, also the veggie omelets do not have alot of veggies very minimum. If they could offer some healthier options it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, food is good, atmosphere is nice, service is friendly.“
“Pretty much everything I have tried is very good . At least give it a try there is a reason it has been there for so long. We had dinner there tonight celebrating my wife's birthday and Morgan & Tiffany were our waiters they were great making our celebration that much better .“
“First time popping in and this is an unexpected environment and took me by surprise. This is a classic 50,60s counter ordering type restaurant that you order and pick your own seat. There is a lot of choices from fried seafoods to different type of sub/sandwiches. Took me a little while to pick something because I wanted EVERYTHING. But settled on something my wife and kids would eat. Order came pretty quick. Everything is (well fried foods) good and the roast beef sandwich is pretty on point. The dining area is clean with very interesting classic decoration. Loved the environment. Will consider to pop in again if I am near the area.“
“This review is for takeout. The online order menu is not helpful for identifying gluten-free items, but the person on the phone was very knowledgeable and helpful. They packaged my sushi separately and offered gluten-free soy sauce. Everyone was happy with their food. I really liked the spicy tuna and the fatty tuna rolls.“
“I went to the newly opened restaurant El Pacifico in Central Sq. yesterday and got the baked scallop dinner, it was scrumptious. I can discern good food . Lynn needs a nice seafood restaurant where you can go and have sit down tables , they also serve steak . It's casual enough to go for lunch and an elegant atmosphere to go for a dinner with friends or for a Birthday celebration . There prices are reasonable and seafood is healthy for you .“
“Danielle was an incredible server. She was extremely attentive to the table and accommodated various requests from the table to modify specific dishes to our needs. She was friendly and helpful and made our Easter Dinner an amazing experience.“
“Stopped by looking for high quality sushi and was not disappointed. Although they were out of O-Toro, seeing the disappointment on my face the host graciously gave us kama toro on the house. Aside from the awesome customer service, the sushi quality was exquisite with a wider variety and personal touches that are hard to find outside of Japan. Will definitely be coming back here, the next time we are in the area!“
