A neighborhood gem. We visited Boston for a week and found this place on the internet. So pleased we did. We wanted to go back for lunch on our last day but it was not open yet. Gluten free options & many other delicious options! Thank you from Canada!
49 was the best bar we went to on our honeymoon. The service was amazing. Didn't have the food so can't comment on that. But the bartender Doug was outstanding and as an avid bar star I can honestly say this was the best service and bartender I ever had. He treated us canadians like royalty. Grace was an absolute sweetheart and she always made sure my drinks were full and was great to talk to. Anytime I come to boston this will be a for sure stop for at least a beer. Food was very good but I have to say I did get annoyed that I was served penne pasta instead of the Campanelle that the menu said would be used. Just wanted something a bit more special for the place and price. Anyway, it was tasty regardless and the scallops were especially good because of the combination of flavors. Wish the tables weren’t so close together so I would have room to move easily.
