We had an amazing experience. All the food was amazing, no complaints. Wait time wasn't long even with covid.
Went there with a group of friends. Sat outside and what a great meal. Everyone enjoyed their food and service was fantastic. Even got to talk with the family.
FROM A GLUTEN FREE DINER: I came here for lunch and got a gluten free pizza. Hands down the best GF crust I've ever had, texture wise! But I found the overall flavor of the pizza itself was just "meh." For the base, there was just plain tomato paste (perhaps from a can? Tasted like it) spread on the dough, with no oregano or spices. (I didn't even know it was possible to get pizza without oregano on it!?)I came amidst the Covid lockdown, and was impressed with how well the team adapted to creating atmospheric outdoor seating, mask wearing, and disinfecting surfaces. I could have lived without the cheesy pop music they had blasting through the speakers, though. The service was EXCELLENT.
Took my boyfriends family here who were visiting from out of town, and they loved it! I have been a few times before, and you will always get a great meal here. The servers and staff are great, and they are always checking in to see if they can get you anything else. Plus the food was fantastic! I bring all of my visitors to this restaurant, it really is a hidden gem of the north end!
First time out in a long while and wanted to go somewhere we knew in the neighborhood that was fresh and friendly. We had passed by Antico many times and the food has always looked good. On arrival we were greeted & seated quickly. Our pasta & pizza were tasty, service was excellent and their outside area is well spaced for comfort/safety. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend. Will be trying their other place, Terramia, a few doors down in the next week or two. The people sitting next to us mentioned they had been there many times and loved the place. If tonight's visit was any indication, I am sure it will be excellent!
Hi, Thank you so much for the 5 star review of Antico Forno. Happy to hear you enjoyed the vegetarian risotto and seafood risotto. Hope to have you back again soon! Sincerely, Carla Gomes
Being Italian, I can say this is some of the best Italian food I have eaten! I don't go out to eat Italian much, but would eat here every night of the week. The owners & staff are kind, professional, knowledgable, and care so deeply about what they do. The restaurant is very clean, as we watched the staff cleaning many times while we dined. Back to the food tho.....each and every dish is incredible! If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience, then this is the place to go. You can't go wrong with any dish you order. Mangia!
We had the best meal ever at Antico Forno in the North End! Best Neapolitan pizza cooked to perfection in their wood fired brick oven. Antico will definitely be my go to Italian restaurant. Thank you the food was great and service was I had a delicious meal the other nite
This spot is a hidden gem which is adjacent to the Hanover with is the busier street over. With the new guidelines they have plenty of seating outside with stringed lights and a very calming atmosphere. Now this is not my first time here. I usually have to wait for an hour after making my reservations, but I always enjoy a drink at the bar and I don't mind waiting because the food is really splendid and one of a kind. The pricing is on point for the quality of meal you're about to get. You can feel that this is a family run place and the staff has been working here for years. I was sad to see how empty the spot was due to covid and the fact that this place is a bit more hidden. If you're looking for teaAuthentic, family friendly spot, please check them out! I don't think you'd be disappointed. I've tried multiple gnocchis on the block and nothing compares to Antico forno!
Great spot in the North End. They did a really nice job with adapting to the new health guidelines and made our visit very positive. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed many of their homemade pasta dishes including the lasagna. Also enjoyed that its on the less busy street adjacent to Hanover, so a but more intimate.
This place is so so so good! It's my favorite in the North End - great pasta and even better pizza. The seating outside is really cute and they are taking all the precautions with keeping it clean and sanitized. I felt really safe coming here. Undoubtedly the best food in the North End! (And try the Nutella pizza!!)
Super amazing yummy delicious place with amazing friendly staff who works there. I have had a couple different waiters and waitresses for me and I thought they were wonderful at what they do. ?
This place is my preferred one. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The crew is very cordial and the food they serve is so flavorful. I am always happy to have a nice dinner here. I recommend this place with pleasure.
My friend and I had visited and we loved the food and ambience. However, both of us split the bill and decided to tip through just one card. We gave a 25% tip through his card. But both of us were charged for the tip. This is just disgusting. I had even written a zero tip on my bill. I called them twice, with no response. Hate this place now
Excellent choice always get this dish. My wife and I pick this place every time we go to Boston. Bread is excellent too
