We had dinner reservations for 4 before a Bruins game. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. Atmosphere was nice table a little tight but other than that it was good.Server came right over we were welcomed drinks came in no time orders placed and food arrived in no time. Everything was hot and delicious other than my wife's Chix Parm it was very bland no tast to the sauce. My Rigatoni Salsiccia was fabulous, my daughter and son inlaws pizzas were also fabulous which were Gamberi and Capricciosa pizzas. All in all the food was very good.Server came over once to take the order never came back except when we were finished with our dinner.Table got cleared quickly and desert menu was given to us.Server never came back to check to see if we were all set. After 10 minutes of waiting I had to go find her and ask herfor the bill. I went back to the table waited another 10 minutes she finally gets to us and gave me the bill.I tipped 25% signed the tablet and pressed paper receipt. She then says I have to go get the paper copy. She returns in about a minute put her hand on my shoulder and says thank you very much with a gentle squeeze on my shoulder.I said thank you very much as we were pressed for time in never looked at the receipt until Today. Yes a week went by but it is what it is.I just looked over the bill and come to find out the server already added a 20% tip to the bill and didn't say anything about it.This is totally WRONG IN SO MANY WAYS!The server should have told me that the tip is added into the bill. She didn't do anything never came to ask us is everything g okay nothing. For an establishment to let their servers do this is WRONG.I HIGHLY RECOMEND LOOK YOUR BILL OVER VERY CAREFULLY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT TELL THE TIP HAS BEEN ADDED.

+:Good food, prompt service, value for money- : Too noisy, warm red wine, too promp derviceFood served very fast (too fast I think) and they asked if we wanted the bill just after swallowing the last bite of desert. Not a cosy place due too the noise from the many guests, but some may say that is ok and a typical italian atmosphere. I really liked the food - e.g the tiramisu was (almost) perfect, but the wine was served too warm (>20C) with cheap type wine glass.

The food was good here. We came as tourists with the recommendation to go here, and it was the first delicious meal we had in Boston! We were lucky enough to come during restaurant week, so we were able to get many tastes out of one visit. The arancini and tiramasu were to die for.

This restaurant has good food. There is a special wich goes for 32 bucks which includes an appetizer, entre, and desert. (You can only choose whats on the special that day it isnt everything on the menu) Everything was great but i was surprised by the 3% restaurant appreciation fee, it was odd to not be told about this or anything about it. If i could ask for anything it would be Italian beer. Draft or bottle would work. I recommend this to anyone in the area but beware of the 3% restaurant fee which isnt a tip.

The reviews didn't disappoint. Smaller footprint, but the atmosphere was electric and personable. Ordered the Fucilli al Tegamino. With the homemade bread, I left nothing in the dish. Excellent.

Fantastic Italian food at a good price point in North End Boston!Food: we really enjoyed both the pasta and the pizza dish. The pizza is not really European-Neapolitan, but for the US pizza it was great - loaded with flavor and not greasy. The pasta dish was wonderful - tasted fresh and amazing with a strong tomato flavor. We went on a Monday night and it was half-full, the staff was nice and attentive and the service pretty fast. The Italian music and the nice homey decor made it a classic Italian adventure. Would Definitely recommend this place and come back anytime!

Dinner was great. Had a Villa de Roma in Phila Italian market vibe. Great atmosphere and enjoyed the Celtics v Mavs game on as well. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for authentic European pizza, this is the place. Delicious. My party had a calzzone and I had a vegan pizza which was soooo good. Good service, cute little traditional place, nice atmosphere. Very pleasant overall. As vegan, I'll definitely be going back there to try other vegan dishes they have. Shout out for Antico Forno for adjusting their traditional menu and having us enjoy their delicious food.

I brought my parents here for my dad’s birthday & the food was amazing as always. But the service…was probably the worst service I’ve ever had. My family has never tipped less than 20% and more often than not will tip over that but today our server was so bad that we couldn’t in good conscience tip her 20%. She didn’t say hi or greet us which is not the best but it’s fine, she never once even smiled, hardly ever spoke to us just gave us the nastiest looks. She brought us the wrong food and when we politely corrected her she didn’t once apologize she just gave my mom a nasty look and snatched the food away. She didn’t once check on us and we had to ask other servers multiple times to have her get our bill. The only time she ever came up to us was to take our order and quickly drop off the food. She was one of the worst, most uncaring servers I’ve ever had and my poor parents just wanted to experience the North end. I love Antico but this server really changed my mind on the place.

We live in Rhode Island but anytime we're visiting Boston. We make a point to go here. Our go to is arancini and meatballs. But we've never had a meal we didn't absolutely love.
