The spot is interesting and there are some characters working there, great location, but the coffee isn't good and the service is quite bad. The type of spot where you can order whatever you want for breakfast within reason and they will make it, but it will be mediocre. Not the worst place you could end up, still prefer this to a chain.

Local, no frills spot. Basic food and coffee, but concerning sanitation standards. Everyone wears gloves, but no one changes them.Today for example, the cook, who I was told is also the owner, used the same gloves to clean surfaces around the kitchen, wash dishes, cook, and scratch his face (twice while I was there). He also picked off several pieces of bacon with his fingers to snack l on them while he also uses his had to flip eggs. My vegetarian omelette also 4 pieces of ham in it.

The location and hours are amazing. Breakfast sandwich was good, coffee was fine but not excellent as other reviewers have noted.
The staff were so rude not only to me but also short with other customers. The order was not correct and they argued about it. The food was average at best.

Great breakfast spot. Exactly what we were looking for. Friendly staff, friendly regulars, and shockingly reasonable prices for the area.
This little place is nice. One way they could drastically improve is to put the food on real plates with real silverware. This is inside a building with a very cool history, it is across the street from the state house. I understand people try to save money, but for the people dining in, they need to have something of substance. I felt like I was camping using those cheap little plastic utensils.
