My siblings and I went to dbar during Dine Out Boston. We were a party of 9. John, our server, was very attentive, answering all our questions, stopping by to let us know we would be served soon, keeping our water glasses full. The food was so good, the crispy falafel was the best I've had, crispy outside and moist inside. My family thoroughly enjoyed their meals, chicken under a brick was a favorite. The only reason for 4 stars in ambience was the noise level. The music was a little loud for some. We all said we would be back and recommend dbar.

Hadn't been to dBar in awhile. Mistake. Two recent dinners there reminded me why it's been our local favorite for years. The food is just consistently excellent, service great and overall friendly place to dine. It's just always really good.

An amazing experience. A wonderful tasting menu. So yummy and just the right type of fullness. Gluten free options as well. I highly recommend dbar from the hostess to the final check.

The shrimp and grits were excellent! The charcuterie board was so yummy but I felt like it could've had bigger portions and more cheese. Music was also a little bit too loud before the nightlife portion of the night.

Loved going here until the owners screwed over a member of their own community. Do yourself a favor and go to Blend, Legacy, Jacques - one of several other Queer establishments in the area who haven't violated their performers in the same way.

This is supposed to be a gay bar, but they can’t even hang a pride flag outside year-round for fear of “alienating customers”? Give me a break. Support better queer establishments!

A consistently great restaurant every time we visit. Host/servers (Cynthiana and Julian) know what exceptional service is all about. DBar is always a good choice and would not hesitate to recommend.

A serene escape from the hectic vibe of the Dorchester neighborhood.Recently came here to enjoy the last bit of good weather on their patio with our dog. Their quaint patio offered a good respite with plenty of seatings, and being familiar with the finesse of Boston Urban Hospitality's portfolio, I stepped in with high expectations. A noticeable departure from their other two upscale spots, Dbar's ambiance resonated more with a laid-back, casual vibe, while the menu hinted at elevated tavern fare.We started our evening with the Veracruz Braised chicken flautas, which aptly mirrored crispy spring rolls, albeit with a Mexican twist. However, the star appetizer for me was the lump crab cake. Bursting with rich crab meat, it danced with the creamy textures of avocado and remoulade, and the grapefruit zest lended a refreshing tang to every bite. For our mains, we had the pork loin and the poke bowl. While the pork loin was a tad dry, the accompanying pumpkin spaetzle made up for it, offering a soft and chewy counterpart. The poke bowl, with fresh tuna and salmon, echoed familiar notes of spicy aioli and sesame soy dressing. It was reminiscent of poke bowls from typical sushi restaurants, but I still enjoyed it.Given Dbar's location, frequenting might require a bit of an effort. However, it undeniably offers a lovely patio ambiance and a good dining experience. While I might not venture here again anytime soon, for anyone in the neighborhood or looking for a patio experience, Dbar is worth a try.Parking: Free parking lot (10-12spots available)

Great place for a delicious meal in a neighborhood setting. Server was excellent and attentive without hovering. 3/4 ppl loved their meals. One person wasn't thrilled but said their meal was good. Drinks were tasty and presented beautifully. Great place to try!

Dbar is a great place for a casual-feeling, but elegant meal. Had the whiskey-glazed pork loin, partner had the filet. Both excellent. Enjoyed a couple of cocktails--the manhattan brown (buttery bourbon) was delicious.

Dbar is always a good time. A local neighborhood spot that has flavorful food with delicious and smooth drinks. The best dish of the night was the pork belly mac & cheese. The sound of the pork belly being cut was enough to stop me mid conversation ?The burger was ok. The calamari was a special which was a sweet chilli, papaya salad situation that was good. The mussels were meaty and the tomato base sauce was good it was just missing the bread on the side. They didn't have any dessert options when I asked but I honestly didn't need any. I left feeling satisfied and had a great time dancing as well.

This place is good not great - it has always had the potential to be great. Very slow service was the reason I gave it a lower rating. There seemed to be plenty of staff, but at one point we had to ask the person who came to clear the table if we could order more drinks through them - our server had disappeared. It is also fairly pricey for food that is also good not great. The menu is OK but sort of disjointed - you never get a "point of view" that says this is dBar. The atmosphere is great and the vibe is good, especially if you can dine outdoors as we did. We will continue to go there once in a while, but it is not a top choice.

Terrific service. Great wait staff. Lovely food. I had the clam and shrimp scampi and it was delicious. Appetizers - guac and scallion pancake were tasty. Drinks were quite good - the make a good dirty martini! The folks who had the chicken under a brick and the salmon were happy. For me, being a bit hard of hearing, the noise in outside seating was noticeable, but no one else seemed bothered.
