Great location. Amazing Atmosphere. Good Staff. Great Food. Amazing Old Fashion drinks. Great scenery. Overall, this is a great restaurant to eat to relax, and have a drink. I can't wait to go back there again.
The steak (filet mignon) was perfect! Full of flavor. Not really a lot of side options however. Also not a big drink selection. The Oysters were fabulous. Lobster tail and King crab legs were good as well. The view of the water was a plus and the service was excellent. The negatives: Prices are very high and it's tough to find parking. So if you have a reservation plan to arrive early to find parking. If you show up on time, your best bet at that time is to park in the garage unless you get lucky and find a parking spot with a meter. All and all the bill was close to $400 dollars after tip for a table of two.
This was a excellent dinner and the view was amazing the food was delicious especially the lobster Mac and cheese side and the filet Mignon amazing I definitely would come back
The waitress informed us we had a 90 minute period of time to eat our food, and our food almost took one hour to be done, the waitresses were not polite or helpful in the slightest. The menu is misleading and the food is in absurdly small quantities for such outrageous prices.
This place is disgusting went last night for my anniversary for the first time and We were sitting next to the window got some appetizers. I told my boyfriend I think I just seen a mouse here he said no you're lying it starts to run in-front of us outside we were disgusted instantly lost our appetite. Told my bf to tell the waitress he came over really didn't seem shocked by it like it's a regular thing. Manager comes over apologizes tells us they're working on their Rodent problem.. we decided to move and They already made our food once the food came out it was COLD I couldn't eat anything just touching my steak was super cold not even hot let the waitress know to wrap things up at this point we're done Manager didn't give us no discount or try to help us feel better only letting us know they're trying to fix this issue which was unacceptable. Bill came up to almost $400 . I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THJS PLACE TO ANYONE there was customers outside eating while these mouses are running around climbing on CHAIRS they deserve 0 stars .
Ok so i over the past few years I have raved about Double Eagle on the waterfront, esp at Restaurant Week. However, over the past two years the quality and quantity have declined so markedly as to make this a disappointing review. I wanted to love this place again. Sorry. The food was poorly prepared and bland. Had the filet; took 45 minutes to reach the table and while I asked for Medium, it was stone raw inside. I mean, uncooked, not rare. I was extremely surprised at the poor showing of this previously excellent restaurant. The view from the patio is nice, however, but I came for the food and the quality has declined a great deal, not just the steak. Maybe it's the virus; who knows? But who cares. if I'm going to make the effort to get to the waterfront and find parking and pay top dollar I'm going to expect more than a nice view.
The restaurant in general beautiful and has a great view, deserts selection are delicious, however food wasn't so good as expected steak taste old, it was not a fresh steak it got me and my sister sick the next day, we place out order at 8:40 food didn’t came out till 10:30.
Better steakhouse options in Boston. Service wasn't as attentive as expected when you lay out $700 for a family of five. Waiter tried to get cute and slip a large expense on our tab without letting us know. Will not be back!
Service started off rocky but turned out great by the end of the night. The food was excellent and the views of the harbor are always nice. Its in Boston so the high prices are to be expected. Overall a good experience and I would definitely visit again.
I was disappointed with this steakhouse. We had a reservation and was seated on time. We ordered drinks and a salad and it took about 30 mins before it came out. We ordered our meal before our salads came out & the salad & bread came out at the same time. And they do not have ranch dressing! Our mean was also just ok but not amazing! I wouldn't go back.
I decided to give this restaurant a try despite the Yelp reviews. My reservation was at 5:30pm; the restaurant was nearly empty, however, got busier around 6pm. The host offered us indoor or outdoor seating -- we opted for indoor as it was a hot and humid day. We started off with drinks, I got the VIP (SVEDKA Clementine Vodka, Pineapple) $16 - the server recommended this drink; however, it was too sweet for my liking. My boyfriend got the Double Eagle Margarita (Casa Dragones Blanco Tequila, Combier Liquer d'Orange, Lime Agave) $20 - it was diluted and tasteless. For starters, we got the classic caesar -- it was average. My boyfriend had the filet mignon 6 oz. and it was mediocre as it had good seasoning, but on the drier side. I had the filet medallion duo; it was well seasoned and had the perfect sauce to pair it! For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake and Belgian chocolate mousse -- both were average. Our entrees were delayed, yet our server failed to tell us..instead, he told us "it will be out in five minutes". It then took an additional twenty five minutes until we got our entrees.
I dined at Del Friscos for a birthday celebration. Perfect waterfront table overlooking the bay to the airport. Keep in mind this is during COVID19 quarantine in effect. So I wasn't sure what to expect as they had just resumed operations. The food was fabulous, great wine and deserts. The view was even better after sunset. I'm looking forward to my next visit back to Boston just to fine here again.
The lobster Mac and cheese is to die for! So yummy! The drinks were amazing, unique taste and combinations. I was impressed with the ocean front view. However, the steak wasn’t too impressive. Overall great experience.
I have gone to Del Friscos many times, I think they have some of the best food on seaport. I went last night with some friends for restaurant week. I was extremely disappointed. We were sat 25 minutes after our reservation time. We couldn't order drinks or apps at the bar due to Covid. This was extremely frustrating, and I understand Covid restraints but they could of offered us a round of free drinks or an app. The wine and beer we chose was sold out. We ordered oysters which never came. The food was excellent and we continued to tried to make of the night. After our dinner was done we waited over 20 minutes for someone to check on us. We actually had to flag down a different waiter. Then we asked for our desserts to go because we were frustrated and just wanted to leave. Another 15 minutes without refills of drinks or water. NOTHING. All we got was a weird explanation that our waiter was having an issue with a different table.I completely understand it is Covid but considering this is one of the nicest restaurants in Boston it was extremely disappointing. The wait time with not even an offer of an app. The long wait times to even get water. Mind you the restaurant was at half the capacity so I don't understand what the issue was on the long wait times. I don't think I will be returning again especially not for the prices.
I love Del Frisco's. This one is definitely my favorite. The view is fantastic.
