I'm born and Raised in North Carolina by 2 parents from Massachusetts. I was skeptical about the Pulled Pork sandwich. It was amazing though. Nice relaxing yet upbeat spot as well.

really love the concept, A+ for effort, but it fell flat for me in every other way. The staff is very kind and you can tell that they are doing their best. However, they are forgetful and sometimes you’ll be standing there for a while before they remember your order. The food is very mid. I’ve tried three different rice bowls on three different occasions and the rice is always dry. Always. I decided to switch gears and try the Nubians favorite sandwich (chicken, pesto, sun-dried, tomatoes, provolone cheese, etc.) and the chicken was dry beyond belief.I really want to support this business, but they make it hard when there’s nothing on the menu to enjoy. Maybe I’ll make one less effort and try the burritos or quesadillas?

Really nice staff but a very mediocre sandwich. I am not sure if I was handed someone else’s order but I got the new edition that was pretty much just sweet potato in toasted bread, it was missing all the other ingredients.

The Dudley St. Cafe I've been coming to when bringing a loved one into outpatient surgery. The Jamacan j*** chicken stew is ?. I looked up ingredients! The sister behind the counter has the eye necklace. That's humanity family for me.

I think the staff is so kind and friendly but every time I have had coffee here, it’s tasted burnt and been gross. They do not know how to make a cappuccino. Just some advice, after you are done steaming, tap the milk against the counter to get rid of any bubbles and then swish so the foam consistency is good. The espresso seems to be pouring for too long because I continue to get disgusting coffee thats burnt. Its just absolutely terrible and I leave Dudley Cafe mad every time because I want to enjoy the cafe but its terrible. The pacman sandwhich I had was dry. The roxbury deluxe was not that good. I think part of it might be new experience. It is a great neighborhood spot, I’ve just been so disappointed by the quality it is not my first choice in the area

Ayanna’s Bowl was amazing! The peanut sauce was really good and the portion size was much bigger than I expected. They did a great job with the fried tofu as well. Lots of tables so it’s a great place to work from. Will definitely be coming back.
They are alright. A little small, not enough outlets for you to sit and work. And then them not having a public restroom limited my time to sit and work there. Literally had to leave and go to the BPL for the restroom.

Good food but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here since the area (Dudley station) is always filled with sketchy people loitering and just feels unsafe. Maybe in the morning, it’s not that bad. Anyway, it’s a nice cafe with a community mission which is a plus, so support if you can.

The kitchen staff is very rude. I ordered a chili and then asked the girl for some sour cream. The kitchen staff proceed to then ask her if I paid for it. I heard the interaction so I told her I would pay for the sour cream. I paid $1.34 for the sour cream. They gave me a small container and I asked if it would be okay to get another one. The lady from the kitchen then proceed to look for the smallest container to fill with some sour cream when they had the container already ready. I told her that I am paying for this and I would like the other container. She had an attitude about this. I was very offended by this because I come to this restaurant every day. You would think that chili would come with sour cream and that the staff would not make a big deal of me asking for a side.

Today was my 1st day trying Dudley Cafe. I had the Pac-Man Sandwich which was flavourful and delicious. Also tried a toffee cookie which was so soft and delightful. I was expecting a hard cookie. I definitely will be returning to this café for more of what they offer. So for now I will give it 4 out 5 stars based off my 1st experience. The Staff were very friendly and pleasant.
