If I were to compare directly to other Boston seafood places, Eventide charges twice the price of Legal Seafoods, Provisions or Sail Loft, for proportions a little over half the size, on a menu a third as varied. Some dishes are good, most are not, and all of them have problems.Oysters were priced at 300% market value, the warm lobster roll was the size of two of my fingers, which I had to order because they were out of cold lobster rolls (how?? literally just toss the warm lobster in cold mayo), an order of chicken wings came with 6 wings about the size of my thumb each, and the Calamari was undercooked and the breading still milky wet, we had to chew it for a long time before it would come apart. The oysters tasted great and the mini lobster roll was was also delicious, but the overall experience here was overwhelmingly disappointing. I had wanted to celebrate a work promotion, but Eventide made me feel like an idiot for falling for their deceptively high-end appearance.

Thumb size lobster roll was ok, oyster roll apt description as it had one oyster calamari was the only dish that was tasty and an appropriate price for what you

Easily the best seafood in the Fenway area. I highly recommend the Fish Charcuterie board. Oysters just incredible. Will return.

Spent almost $100 per person here and left disappointed. The clam chowder was ok, but the lobster roll was a bit of a letdown. And the seafood bake was just not incredible. It was a Wednesday and there really weren't many patrons -- maybe everyone else knew better?Further, sitting at the bar, the bartender appeared distracted by doing inventory and could not be bothered with us, which is the last thing I expect from sitting at the bar.

Lobster roll is to die for! Worth it even though it's a lil pricey for the amount you get..

I had clam chowder, lobster stew, lobster roll, and new england clam bake. To be honest, none of the items were on average. The worst item was "new england clam bake". NEVER GET THIS!! They didn't purge out the sand. Instead, they served a warm broth to wash the clams before eating, which didn't work at all. Also, I wonder why they added a few pieces of pork and egg in the seafood dish. I sent about $200, but we went to McDonald afterward.Last thing, be aware that they charge automatic 5% of service fee on top of total price.

Clam chowder was a big disappointment. It was so thin and smell so fishy that we couldn’t eat it. We called the server and asked whether it’s normal. They told us it was normal. We said we couldn’t eat it so they offered whether to get a new bowl or something else and they recommended lobster stew without telling us that it would be $5 more than the chowder’s price. So we ended up having the food we didn’t want and paid more. It would be nicer to tell us that the new food they offered would cost more than our original order that we couldn’t eat. The lobster bisque wasn’t impressive either, we couldn’t even finish a $21 soup.

Legit moved every bit of my meal! From the brown butter lobster roll to the delicious crudo. My only beef is the 5% admin fee already added! When I asked about it they said: “it’s to distributed to our non-tipped staff in the form of increased wages.” Why I am responsible for paying your employees a better wage?! Shouldn’t that be left to the owners/management?!

Service was good and friendly; however, the food was quite disappointing. The brown butter lobster roll was overly salty. I could hardly taste the lobster. The clam chowder is on the thinner side which I was fine with but it was mostly potatoes.

Came back again on another visit to Boston. The lobster roll I had last time was amazing. Oysters are your standard fare. But the Clan Chowder was a big disappointment. There were exactly 3 clams. It was 80% only potatoes (the image shows half of the potatoes). And it was very thin and non creamy, unlike any Chowder I've eaten.

I had the chance to try their butter lobster, French fries, and fried chicken. The butter lobster was a highlight, with a portion size that was comparable to typical lobster servings at other restaurants. It was both tasty and buttery, offering a satisfying seafood experience. The French fries were crispy, a delightful crunch in each bite. The fried chicken also impressed, with a perfect combination of crispy exterior and juicy interior. I would recommend all of these dishes. For dessert, I tried their puffy chocolate cake. It was surprisingly light yet still packed with delicious flavor. Overall enjoyable dining experience, with each dish meeting or exceeding expectations

Food is good (especially the lobster roll), but the portions are soooo small! The clam chowder was also too liquidy for my liking. The waitress also seemed to be ushering us out as fast as possible, even though there was plenty of space available.
