I love the staff and food. The smell and look of the food is hypnotic. I love the music and catching the chefs singing and grooving while cooking. That's a PLUS!! You know the food is bout to HIT. Getya Sum of that Yum!!
Oxtail, shrimp and cabbage was mouth watering. The only thing that was missing was the smile from the woman at the register. She was a little too busy trying to hold onto her man like I was going to jump over the counter and ask for his number lmaooo. Black women we have to do better! Not to mention I left a $10 tip and she didn’t say thank you. Hopefully she smiles when I visit again. ?

I’ve been a Flames customer since it first opened a couple of decades ago. I typically order the oxtail or salt fish and okra and always takeout, which brings me to my biggest gripe with the restaurant. The styrofoam clamshell containers that invariably leak badly are inadequate for carrying out their saucy dishes. It’s long time that they be retired and replaced with plastic containers that can seal tightly.
