My wife and I came up from Alabama to Boston, and we decided to stop by for some Italian. Jim was a fantastic host, and we discussed the pitfalls of nearly 3000 restaurants in Boston since COVID. We talked of the importance of mom and pop places like his, and I talked about the damage of using GrubHub and DoorDash who charge restaurants exorbitant fees. I only hope he continues the good fight to preserve the character and diversity of what food should be. We had the pasta with mussels, clams, calamari, and shrimp. It was fantastic!

This was the first place we ate after arriving in Boston and the last place we ate before flying out. Food and service were amazing both times. Dine in for first visit was Fruitti di Mare, Haddock Margarita with potatoes, and BBQ chicken pizza all of which were fabulous. The owner was very welcoming. Our last night, 10 days later, we ordered meatball sub and pizza for delivery. They even thought to include plastic ware and paper plates! Pizza was excellent. Great way to begin and end our vacation.

I feel targeted. I was given paper plates abs water bottles while everyone else in the restaurant had nice glass plates. We were given drinks in cups. I ate before I came here and they made me wait so long I got hungry again. I feel like they didn’t give us the proper service due to my age. Little do they know I make more money in 20 minutes then they do in their entire life of working at this place.

Got to enjoy a large BBQ Chicken pizza with friends on Saturday thanks to these guys! Great spot in East Boston with a lot of options to choose from and great service.

The best pizza in Boston if not the entire US!!! The marinara sauce is simmered in house for 4 hours and is topped with whole milk mozzarella and is cooked on a light & crispy crust. This pizza is real deal Italian that you simply can’t miss while visiting East Boston.

We had an excellent experience, just getting off the plane from California. Jim, made us feel right at home!! The food was outstanding as well as the service!! We had the pizza, ziti with chicken, garlic bread, salad, chicken strips. Large portions and very affordable. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed my stop. The service was friendly, the portions were ample, the place was clean, and most importantly the food was tasty.

Very rarely give poor reviews, but have to say we were disappointed. The sauce, which makes any pizza, was very bland. Right or wrong, living in the Midwest, i always expect more from east coast pizzerias. Not terrible, but wouldn't order again.

Please do yourself a favor and never, ever order from this place. It's garbage and far from Italian or delicious. They don't use salt or any other seasoning for that matter. This was $50 down the drain which is right when were it belongs.

Ordered the Big pizza slice for lunch…it’s big. And delicious at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is very Italian and the personnel are very friendly. Looking at the menu I’d love to come back for a dinner. I recommend this restaurant.

This is one of my favorite casual Italian places in all of boston. Huge portions…be prepared to bring home leftovers. Love the chicken parm, it’s the only entree I ever ordered there but I have picked at my dining companion’s plates and their food (the penne with vodka sauce and the lemon chicken and pasta) are both delish. Love their big antipasto salad, it is basis in what’s on it but that’s what I want not some fancy salad where I don’t know half the things I am looking at. It is also probably the best bang for ur buck of any Italian restaurant in the city. To top it all off, Jim the owner is the nicest guy out there!!

The food, the atmosphere, and the owner are Abdolutely PHENOMENAL!!The owner came over to chat and was very personable. If you're in the the mood for authentic- And quite possibly THE BEST Italian food EVER- Then Italian Express Pizzeria is the place. The owner says Guy Fieri has stopped by a few times and has 3 shows on flavor town.
