I've been coming here almost every time I visit Boston since 2013. This place consistently has the best steak tacos I've ever had and the taste is consistent every time. I look forward to eating here every visit!

Maria’s has been a late-night staple for me for years, but I’ve noticed recently that the quality has gone down substantially in recent months. Today, it got to the point to where I don’t know if I’ll return.Today, I ordered a burrito without beans or hot sauce. The staff members were all over the place and things seemed off. I couldn’t watch the whole process of it being made, but I could’ve sworn I saw the employee only add meat, rice, and sour cream. When I asked them to confirm that there were other toppings inside, they said yes. I was in a rush and couldn’t stay to check, but I wish I had. There was no cheese and no guac.My order was also very delayed, despite the fact that there was only one other person ahead of me. The employee finished the first burrito (made correctly). Somebody then came in who seemed to be a friend of the employee and he took a decent chunk of time to help him before finishing my order.So the service wasn’t fast and my order wasn’t accurate. I’m hopeful Maria’s can turn it around, but I’m starting to feel like I’m running out of excuses to go there.

I don’t like leaving reviews but if you’re anything like me, I believe customer service can make or break your experience despite the quality of food. I had an issue with my order and I called the restaurant to inform them to see if they would deliver it to me and the girl on the phone said she had personally packed it herself…. If she had packed it, I wouldn’t be calling for it. She didn’t even try to give us a resolution. She just wanted us to deal with it through the delivery service. As a restaurant, if there’s mistakes like this being made where an item is missing, they should be trying to see what the customer would need and this case we just wanted the item because we were hungry. I also didn’t receive any utensils. We are super disappointed and likely never going to order from here again. Super expensive for what it is and major lack of customer service.
One of the most authentic places in the city. Shrimp taco plate was DELICIOUS. My friend got the birria tacos and loved them as well.
